I recall the Craig Thompson case where the evidence of misuse of funds to improve his love life was overwhelming, but it took ages  to unseat him even after Gillard admitted he had crossed the line.  Oh I suppose the difference there was that he used union members funds. Union member's funds are for the benefit of union bosses as they see fit.

Brocky, I have consistantly declared that the real issue is about missuse of public funds and not his sexual exploits.  His sexual exploits are what led to his latest folly, but they are not the issue.

Accepting finnancial favours from bussiness men, using tax payers/employers money to furnish high paying jobs for a girlfriend, both things that if done by a politician of the left you would rail against.  

Have an independant enquiry into these things and either clear this man or put him behind bars, he may have been bribed and he may have missused public funds, either way we need to know.

Being in one party or another should not exclude you from answering to the rules of natural justice.  And let the enquiry be about doing the right thing, not about "Not acting outside the internal rules of the Party".  He is the leader of his party, he should be able to distinguish between right and wrong.
