LNP a disappointment?

Are LNP supporters as disappointed as I in Morrison's total lack in solving the many problems this country faces, since they were re-elected?

From sky rocketing cost of living, energy prices through the roof, drought stricken farmers being virtually ignored, no mention of water retention or building dams, the economy about to stall, Veteran's dire circumstances, over crowded cities, drastic cuts to immigration, homelessness and the insane Paris agreement to name but a few. I am sure readers can add to this list.

Personally I dont think there is ANY politician with the spine or intelligence to solve problems caused in the main by them, without thinking past the next election.

Swanning around the world meeting leaders with scores of photo opportunities for his retirement photo album is akin to fiddling while Rome burns, But I fear the alternative could be far worse

I did lend him my magic fairy wand, looks like he hasn't used it yet. Give him another couple of days.

Tanwin, you will always be disapointed if you believe that the government is responsible for all your problems.

Of course a right wing troll would say that to extracate his employer from accountability.  That is something only reserved for Labor governments.

"My problems" Adrianus? I'm a survivor --just

But echoing comments from people in the street, online and talk-back radio, I'm looking at the sad path this country is heading down compared to the once 'lucky country' that's been screwed up by the collective unaccountable turds in Canberra and some hopeless State governments who retire still strongly sucking on the tax payers teat

Adrianus, the Government will always like you if you have money to give to it but look out when you don't. That's when you will become its problem. The solution then is elimination.

I have no time for Morrison at all and he should have stuck with what he would be good at -- and thats being a car saleman,  as he is full of it

Exactly! He is a showman like Trump.

It will be very disappointing when this great country goes down the drain real soon..thanks Clive, Pantsdown, Qld and Tassal whoops I meant Tassie...

Sco Mo is a showman like Trump.

I am disappointed he won. How could I be further disappointed?

Alas, wisdom did not win, scare tactics and COAL won!

Disappointed?  No.  Disillusioned? No.  Since I didn't expect any better, why would I be?  They have simply lived up to my expectations.

My sentiments exactly Jenny

You moaners & groaners, like blind Freddie, refuse to acknowledge the FACTS.

The Australian people chose Scomo NOT the leftie, marxist ALP that you clearly support.

Get Real!

I think if you read my LAST opening sentence Not a Bludger you will see I am not.

It is very easy to ignorantly label someone who disagrees with your political leaning.

I can assure you I am REAL

Not a Bludger running true to form here. It is doubtful if you know what a real leftist Marxist government really is. Karl Marx is now getting s reurn of interest in his writings. Not I hasten to add his solutions but his identification of the problems of gross inequalities.

If you’re not upset, you haven’t been paying attention. Less educated electorates who are prone to falling for headlines and sound bites voted for coalition and their many deceits, lies and exaggerations. Unfortunately they’ll be the ones who suffer most. The landscape has changed; a Howard started the dumbing down of the electorate and made selfishness popular, while also deceiving (remember children overboard, WMD,etc). These are all results if not enquiring and finding out for yourself. Education is the key.

Australia is a democracy, the majority of people voted for the Coalition. People should respect the choices of the majority and posting articles such as this won't change their decision. There is another election in three years and Australians will have a chance once more to decide which party should be in power, until then we have a Coalition government in Canberra.

the majority DID NOT vote for the L.N.P., If we had a first past the post system they would have not got in, even with massive backing and support from Murdoch and his cronies repeating lies concerning NEW TAXES, which were not.

80 plus - my understanding is that if it was a first past the post situation Morrison wins 83 seats - just checked AEC site and LNP gained more votes and TPP LNP had over 400,000 more votes.  Check AEC site yourself - final results were confirmed yesterday

I can't help feeling that Bob Hawke and Paul Keating could have got a handle on this fair quickly.  I am so disenchanted with what is happening in this country, this is not what we signed up for.  But it seems to be what the majority wants - God help us all!

What does LNP stand for?

There are some on this forum, Aggie, who don't seem to be able to spell Coalition (or they just don't know). The Liberal party in Queensland joined with the Nationals on a formal basis and became thereafter known as the LNP. The rest of the country has Liberals and Nationals so the current government actually has a three way Coalition of Liberals, Nationals and the LNP from Queensland.

LNP = Loot n Pillage.

The majority of Australians got what they voted for - incompetence and more inaction ftom the Federal Government.   The rest of the world is laughing at us.

The Prime Minister is currently in Fiji with his wife and family having a break before Parliament resumes.I think people need to be reminded that while Scott Morrison has only just won the election, he does not have a magic wand! He said he will govern for all Australians and I take him at his word.

Too many people seem to think that the skies will open up overnight with billions of dollars falling from the sky for those who moan and don't make much of a contribution to society It doesn't happen that way and he will have an agenda that he will work to.

Please allow the man a bit of respect please!

Govt has said their first priority tis to have the income tax cuts approved and also to give all Australians the $75.00 tebate toward energy costs.

I believe he and his party are capable of steering the Australian ship in the right direction for one and all.

Bazza

Bazza "skies opening overnight"? So what IS his agenda, does anyone know?

This fool Morrison (no respect intended) has been there long enough to start making changes and remember he was Treasurer before this and accomplished ???
