A flight attendant quarantined in a Sydney hotel room may be the first Australian to be immune from coronavirus.
Rochelle Crossley has been working as a flight attendant in the UAE and received a COVID-19 vaccination after thousands of injections were rolled out to frontline workers.
Rochelle Crossley has been working as a flight attendant in the UAE and received a COVID-19 vaccination after thousands of injections were rolled out to frontline workers.
"The fear of getting the virus outweighed the fear of having the vaccination," Ms Crossley told 9News.
"Everyone has different side effects but mainly a sore arm. I had a bit of a cough after the first vaccine but the second one I didn't have anything."
The vaccine has been developed by Chinese owned manufacturer Sinopharm.
More than 30,000 people in the UAE have received injections as part of phase three trials.
Rochelle arrived at Sydney airport last week with her vaccination paperwork, much to the bewilderment of Australian health officials.
"They looked at me like I was the one making a mistake. They said you know there is no vaccine", she said.
Dr Robert Grenfell from the CSIRO said the Sinopharm vaccine is one of five vaccines currently in the final stages of testing.

An Australian-made coronavirus vaccine could potentially become available to the public as early as July next year.
The jab, known as V451, is being developed by researchers at the University of Queensland.
Federal Health Minister Greg Hunt said phase one testing results of the vaccine had produced positive results.
"The initial data is very clear, that the vaccine is proving to be safe through phase one clinical trials and that it's proving to produce a positive antibody response," he said.
"That means it's doing its job."
Mr Hunt also said the vaccine was working when tested on the elderly.
"That's an especially important outcome, given the global vulnerability to elderly around the world from COVID-19," he said.
Good news indeed
Is Donald mellowing?

Donald on Saturday (November 14) took to Twitter to extend wishes on the occasion of Diwali. Trump posted a tweet sharing a photo of him lighting a lamp in the White House.
Beginning on Thursday, more than a billion people around the world will began the annual celebration of Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights that many consider to be the start of the new year.
Typically, the festival is marked by celebrations both at home and in large community gatherings by people of many faiths in both India and the diaspora. In recent years, celebrations have become increasingly mainstream in America with large events in Disneyland and Times Square as well as convention centers across the country.

ah well, doesn't matter what Trumpo does, you can't turn this bug into a butterfly!
I really believe he might be secretly thinking...time to go...perhaps he has plans for the next election!
From what I've read, Ivanka might be running!
Not another Trump in the White House. I read somewhere none of the Trumps are welcome in New York.
Sent you an email Banjo:)
Here we go again ....
South Australians are being urged to reconsider any plans to travel to Western Australia, as the WA Government warns it is considering reimposing the state's hard border in response to the growing Adelaide coronavirus cluster.
"I would just say to members of the public who have relatives that are thinking of travelling from Adelaide, that they should reconsider their travel at this point in time." (Roger Cook, Health Minister).

According to the ABC live blog ...
WA Premier Mark McGowan will introduce tougher restrictions for people travelling from South Australia, saying the state has moved form "very low risk" to "medium risk" and might soon be high risk.
As a result, effective from 6:00pm, people entering WA from SA will need to meet a strict exception category. Travel will only be allowed for certain people, including senior government officials, military, Commonwealth personnel, transport freight or logistics or an authorised officer.

Trumpo taking full advantage of the new mode of working from home, who's watching the White House? Yep he admitted Joe won and in the next breath took it back, think it's time for divine intervention from his spiritual advisor, LOL
Now I feel a migraine coming on after watching that video Lucca! I thought it was a send up, but apparently the woman is real...can't figure out why the chap keeps walking up and down behind her and the cat..I don't like cats, but have to admit this was hilarious!
Anyway, I thought Jared is Donald's spiritual advisor. He even wears a bracelet threaded with red, a colour his grandmother believed warded off evil. Wonder if that’s why Donald usually wears a red tie!

“Network 10 can confirm that Pete Evans will not be appearing on this season of I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!” a Ten spokesperson told news.com.au early on Tuesday.
The paleo advocate has since removed the post in question, which showed the Black Sun symbol on the wing of a seated, black butterfly.
The symbol appeared on the floor at Germany’s Wewelsburg Castle, which Nazi leader Heinrich Himmler transformed into a cult site used to instil the hateful ideologies of Adolf Hitler into the minds of SS officers.
The Black Sun symbol also appeared on the backpack of the Christchurch mosque shooter.
When a Facebook user commented that “the symbol of the butterfly is a representation of the black sun”, Evans wrote back “I was waiting for someone to see that”.

He's set a record, in just a day dropped by his publisher, multiple bookstores, retailers and even from a scheduled appearance on a reality television show.
You can eat so many turnips before becoming a turnip head, the fella needs some nourishment.
Think Pete needs some hearty homemade chicken soup with matzo balls…a Jewish staple….that will set him on the road to recovery!

Running late for work and the kids missed the school bus… the school gates are locked when you arrive, and you had to wait with your kids for hours until it would open again? So.. what do you do? To parents at the Trillade school in Avignon the logical solution is throw them over the fence and get on with your day!
The school has resorted to putting up signs instructing parents not to throw their kids, and instead just wait for the gates to open again at 10am or 3pm.

Western Australia's new $400 million museum Boola Bardip, in the heart of Perth's Cultural Centre, has officially opened after four years of construction and what a masterpiece!!!
The new Aboriginal name means 'many stories' in Noongar language and recognises the significant role of Aboriginal people in WA's shared cultural heritage.
In officially opening the building, WA Premier Mark McGowan told the assembled crowd the "spectacular" museum would be considered "one of the great public buildings of Australia".

BIG SMILE TODAY........
International visitors and people departing Australia will need to provide proof that they've had the COVID-19 vaccination under new terms and conditions the Qantas CEO is implementing across the airline.
Qantas CEO Alan Joyce says passengers will need to provide proof they've had the COVID-19 vaccine in order to board the carrier's international flights.
Speaking to Channel Nine's A Current Affair program on Monday night, the CEO said it will be a "necessity" for international visitors coming in and out of Australia.
When asked...he said he believed this action will be taken by most airlines globally...
