Seggie. Getting into the car many years ago,we heard a sound that sent chills down our spines. Hopped out of the car and there were meowing sounds coming from under the bonnet. Lifted up the bonnet and there was a neighbour's cat who had got in what was a warm spot as the sun was on the car. Yes, it was badly hurt so off I went to get a towel to wrap it in and to the vet.where the cat stayed for some time until all the wounds were healed. We left a note for the owner who was at work to say what happened and that we could collect Smokey when the owner would be home.

After that, for some time, we lifted the bonnet before we turned the ignition on just to make sure all was well but Smokey must have learned his lesson. Smokey visited us again but never ever under the bonnet. And yes, we paid the bill. Not everyone hates cats though I know folk who hate them and say they have spiteful faces. They obviously do not have any mirrors in their houses.

When you hurt an animal by accident it gives you

a terrible feeling,I had some near misses with a dog

running in front of the car

so I settled for a cup of coffee, and to try and stop giggling.
