Byron Bay emerges as a coronavirus red zone with locals told to get tested IMMEDIATELY for deadly COVID-19 even if their symptoms are mild

The tourist hot-spot located in upper northern NSW was flagged by NSW Health as a red zone on Thursday despite only recording 16 cases of coronavirus infection.

That is strange, why flag them if there are only 16 cases? Maybe they are trying to attack and get to the 'alternative health' industry up there.

Richard Branson facing backlash over plea for UK bailout of Virgin

From his private island in the Caribbean, Sir Richard Branson is trying to convince the UK government to give his Virgin Atlantic airline a £500m bailout to help it survive the coronavirus pandemic and the economic fallout of the lockdown. Virgin Australia, which is 10% owned by the billionaire’s Virgin Group, is also seeking a £700m bailout from the Australian government. Branson is the 312th richest person in the world with an estimated US$5.2bn paper fortune.

Well Branson can afford to bail Virgin out with his own money.

Virgin Australia is 90% owned by five international companies –

Etihad Airways,

Singapore Airlines,

China’s Nanshan Group and HNA,

Richard Branson’s Virgin Group.

They all declare they are facing their own difficulties and have signalled they will not inject further capital.

Why should Australia?

I question now who owns Qantas?

Humans are becoming weaker by sitting at desks and on couches too much and not doing enough moving, we are meant to move not sit all day, and they say that sitting is the new smoking as far as health goes.

Yes!  I sit and then get up and vacuum, then I cook, then I come back here and read and post.  Then I check what I am cooking, then I sweep up the outside or the alfresco where the cats are enclosed. Then I come back and read and post, then I go and lay down, sometimes I fall asleep.  I try to do two minutes twice a day on the exercise bike to strengthen my leg muscles, so my hip replacement goes well, the surgeon said good!

Yesterday I was out weeding it is amazing how fast the weeds are growing in Perth weather!  The birds are busy flying around in flocks if you have noticed? They must realize that something is different with the humans, not so many people driving around or walking.  I have seen a few people exercising their dogs on my way to the supermarket.

Now to get the vacuum out and get something cooking for lunch!

How much time do you spent on the computer each day Incognito?

Not much time compared to most people, I just do bits and pieces, short bursts, I alternate like you, I find I have to get up and do something else in between too. Yesterday I put a load of washing on downstairs then go back upstairs make a cuppa do some internet, then go hang it out, put another load on, do a bit more, hang it out, etc. I always go for a bike ride or walk every day, if the weather is really bad will do inside bike riding, I do HIT, slow for some, fast for 30 seconds, and do this 3 times all up about five minutes until my legs ache. In the evening when watching TV I also do a bit on my laptop. But it does add up, hard to find the balance sometimes, we get carried away, easier to use the mind than the body lol.

You are lucky you can go for a walk and ride, I always did that a couple of times a day when I had the dogs, but with my painful hip it is not possible.  Have just vacuumed and steamed the floors now it is sit down time.

As long as you interrupt your sitting with standing and moving than it is all good. It is the constant sitting in one spot for too long that can be an issue.

Coronavirus lockdown providing rich pickings for heartless criminals

So far they have cheated victims out of £2 million, using the fear of Covid-19 to launch a wave of scams that experts describe as 'sick'. We advise you on how to thwart the fraudsters.

From the UK, now I guess it will happen here if we don't watch out.

There is always some that like to try to be clever.

These scammers will stop at nothing, it is big business. Bit like the drug trade they have swarms of them working on it. They are probably already working on a similar app to the coronavirus app to fool people too. I never use my phone for anything like banking or anything that involves giving my personal details, I always use the internet much safer. and never respond to email links unless you are 100% certain it is safe but even then if it means giving personal details better to sign into a website and check this little lock is there for any payments. But the biggest issues is those who pretend to "love" the lonely single people and con them into giving them money, cannot understand why anyone would give money to someone they have never met.

Why fabric softener is your secret cleaning weapon: How you can use the laundry product to make filthy walls and doors pristine in just MINUTES

An Australian mum has revealed how she uses fabric softener to clean her filthy walls at home - and she's not the only one.

I was horrified when I came across this, I thought everyone has been encouraged to wash their hands!  How can anyones door get so dirty?

Geez some people live in filth, and I thought fabric softener was an expensive way to clean, why not use elbow grease a lot cheaper lol.

I was speechless when I saw this, fancy boasting about your filthy house!  That is not just a days dirt it is more like a years dirt.  It also to me indicates people in this house are not washing their hands!

Don't attack me for being prepared for the pandemic': Panic-buying mother is slammed for trying to sell her massive stash of almost 400 rolls of toilet paper at a huge mark-up

Brisbane mother is slammed for trying to sell her massive stash of toilet paper

A mother who stocked up on toilet paper as the coronavirus pandemic began has been slammed online for trying to sell her massive stash for a profit. The Brisbane woman was among the hoards of people who started panic buying essential items in March, leaving supermarket shelves bare for weeks (pictured right). She is now trying to offload 21 packs of toilet paper, each with 18 rolls (pictured left). She's selling a pack of Quilton toilet paper for $20 online (inset) - double the supermarket price.

Who is more stupid her or the people buying it? Plenty of toilet paper when I went to Woolies the other day, was none on sale of course so had to pay full price but not that much.

Over here in WA toilet paper was in short supply Incognito, the last two weeks I see plenty of toilet paper available, but there was a time here when I didn't see any toilet paper on the shop shelves for 8 weeks.

A science professor has warned Australia could be in 'real trouble' if the government relaxes coronavirus social distancing restrictions too soon.

University of Melbourne associate professor Ben Phillips said despite a pronounced flattening of the curve, the risk of a second outbreak is 'very real' if Australians become complacent and shutdowns are lifted.

Australia’s only solar photovoltaic panel manufacturer, Tindo Solar is expanding its Adelaide factory after a strong surge in demand as consumers turn to locally sourced products.

The company has begun work on a new building next door to its existing Mawson Lakes plant.

Mr Morelli said the company had been experiencing increased demand since March, with April sales beginning more strongly that March.

“More than ever there has been an upswell in the community that we need to be more self-sufficient.

“We are getting a lot of people coming to us including government departments and agencies.”
