Gympie MP Tony Perrett finds Robert Weber's dog on the same property where he found the missing man a week ago.


Robert Weber was missing for 18 days. Tony Perrett and wife Michele found Mr Weber beside a dam where he had been living for nearly two weeks. At the time Weber's dog was also missing.

That was a terrible sight watching the bushfires. If it ever happened to me I don't think I would want to stay in the area and rebuild. A friend lost everything, house and pets, and it put a terrible strain on the marriage, the husband started drinking and the children all left home, never wanting to go back.

Wild Steppe region of Mongolia. ‘The pallas cat is instantly distinguishable by its round pupils and almost totally round body. In its winter coat the cat is nearly as round as it is long. Aware of my position the cat watched curiously and without fear as I slowly repositioned myself to get the composition I wanted.’

Almost 100 historical photographs of Brisbane and its surrounding regions have been brought to life for the digital age, painting a clearer picture of what the river city was like in the 19th century. The glass slides belonged to 72-year-old Brisbane man Ian Overett's grandfather, Cyril Windrum. The box of 92 slides, was handed down to Mr Overett by his mother.

Ships tied up at Browning Wharf outside the D.L Brown building along Eagle Street, now Eagle Street Pier.
