Researchers rejoice at rediscovery of a tiny Tasmanian crayfish thought to be extinct.


The short-tailed rain crayfish endemic to Tasmania was thought to be extinct. A research trip recently found six crayfish living in the creeks leading to Lake Burbury where they were last seen in the 1970s.

Hubble Space Telescope snaps stunning view of ethereal 'Lost Galaxy'.

The Hubble Space Telescope captured this sharp view of NGC 4535.

NGC 4535 has an engaging nickname: the Lost Galaxy. It's not actually lost in space, but the moniker comes from how it looks with gear that's not as fancy as Hubble. "Despite the incredible quality of this image, taken from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, NGC 4535 has a hazy, somewhat ghostly, appearance when viewed from a smaller telescope," the European Space Agency said in a statement Friday.

Amazing technology :)

A 58-year-old man who spent two weeks lost in Queensland was found on Sunday morning by local MP and grazier, Tony Perrett, beside a dam where he had been living for nearly two weeks.


Robert Weber became lost on his way home from the Kilkivan hotel. He says he lived on waterholes and wild mushrooms and lost 10 kilograms. Mr Weber believes if it wasn't for thinking of his children, he would've given up.
