People are saying a vote for the Greens is a vote for Labor, not true?

I did write to the Greens and asked them--they said they didn't know at this stage ???

Would be devastated to vote for the Greens and they

give their preference to the Liberals in the upcoming election

I am with those lobbying for Julia :)

Folks who want Julia to win rather than Tony had better

vote Labour and not take the chance on the Greens just

in case our vote goes pear shape :)

.

Yes I agree Phyl--I would almost slash my wrists if I gave Abbott and his mob a leg up

Phyl, you said:-

"Would be devastated to vote for the Greens and they give their preference

to the Liberals in the upcoming election"

Unless I am totally out of political date, that is an amazing comment. Most

of the States are Labor controlled because of the Green vote & the ONLY

Federal, Liberal held, Seat that will PROBABLY get the Green vote, is

Wentworth & even that is not definate yet.

Those Laborites who were unhappy with Rudd and went over to the Greens and then returned to Labor when Gillard took the his job should realise that a vote for the Greens is a vote for 'open door' immigration.

I suggest Gillard has called the election because things are definitely 'going pear shaped' for her as people realise she is not all that different from Rudd and shares the blame for disastrous policy such as BER, computers in schools, and now school uniforms, which if allowed to follow the previous schemes will have no regulation and be another BS policy thats rife with rorting.

Vote Labor at your (and this country's) peril

Yes the Greens will have open slather on imigration and also break us with all the "Green" policies

Tony Abbott has said that he will raise business taxes which mean WE will be the ones paying more for goods.

If you want higer taxes and higher costs then vote Liberal.

If you want a lower pension then vote Liberal as the Libs will bring in the part of the Henry Report that Labor rejected.

Fwed, what do you mean about the pension and the Libs bringing in part of the Henry Report that Labor rejected.

Oh poor fwed scare mongering and the election hasn't been called.

Ken Henry is distancing himself from Gillard's hastily cobbled together new mining tax saying it will be worse for jobs and investment than the tax it replaced.

Amazingly Gillard is proclaimed as the great communicator yet failed dismally when communicating with East Timor on Illegal Immigrant policy which she still doesn't have. Before the 07 election she and Rudd were going to "turn back the seaworthy boats" now she is trying to vilify Abbott for suggesting he wants to let the children drown. Does this bitch have any scruples at all??

Speaking of not having policy what has happened to the ETS policy ??? fwed tell us about another of her failed policies the Medicare Gold???

Perhaps all pensioners should go back to school fwed that way at least we will get some new clothes LOL

Contrary to what fwed thinks the sun does NOT shine from Gillard's more than ample backside.

You really come out with some ridiculous statements fwed. Why do you

think that all politicians are idiots? The biggest group of people in Australia

is the seniors & they will never agree on anything. BUT, if any political Party

in Australia were to even hint at reducing the Aged Pension to the level of the

dole, they would be annihilated at the next election. The next point is that we

have incurred massive debt, as usual, under Labor. Whether you are in favour,

or not, it has to be turned around. There are only 3 ways for Australia to get

out of debt. 1. Increase income (increase tax) 2. Lower expenses (never

happens under Labor) or 3. Both.

Also, Labor has not rejected the Henry Report. It has just deferred any action

until after the Federal Election. Do you really think that Labor will ignore every

single suggestion in the Henry Report?

I never said that the government had rejected the report.

Maybe you could show me where I said that or else you are once again making up stories as you go (that is nothing new though)

Labor has rejected reducing indexation of the age pension (Recommendation 84 of the report)

Labor has also rejected many other parts of the report.

I don't know if you know what the word "rejected" means - maybe you could consult a dictionary.

I won't lower myself to answer Tanwin's crude post but am getting used to his cheap shots.

fwed, you said at 10.49 am :- " If you want a lower pension then vote Liberal

According to the Oxford Dictionary "reject" means put aside or discard

or not to be used. Using that meaning, Labor rejected the entire Henry

Report. I know you will say, "what about the mining super tax". BUT Labor

has not even prepared the Bill, let alone tabled one in the House.

Innes, I said " part of the Henry Report that Labor rejected" so how can that mean they rejected the whole report.

Part is different than whole
