Amazing, animals never stop surprising and delighting me. My mum has over 40 lorikeets visit her and sit along the fence.
Incognito you didn't mention that dog!! He/she is amazing just sitting there with the mouse on his nose!
Not to mention the birds moving about. LOL bless him/her.
Oh yes he/she is truly amazing, I did say animals which was in reference to them all, he/she is so adorable. I can watch it for ages.
:) Love the dog. We used to have a bird like the two on the right of the dog. Dad was given it by someone he met at the stockyards. We soon learnt it had a very colourful vocabulary, enough to make a budgie blush LOL.
This is the heartwarming moment three platypus were released back into the wild after they were evacuated from their habitat during last summer's bushfire crisis
Seven platypus were saved and taken to Taronga Zoo, where they were getting the best care until they were released back into the wild
The zoo released heartwarming footage of the rescued critters receiving the health checks in December
Always good to hear when animals can return back to their habitat, too bad we keep destroying it and clearing forests at break neck speed still.
Always good to hear when animals can return back to their habitat ...
Agree Incognito.
How would you feel if you found a little snake in your sink?
Steve the snake catcher was called out to the small town of Draper in Queensland after the homeowner went to go wash their hands in their outside sink and found a little head popping out!
Fortunately, this little eastern brown was relocated to bushland away from homes and roads.
Yes I was telling hubby about this! I would not know what I would do if that happened!
Has anyone on this site experienced this happening to them?
I've had a couple of 'invasions' in the house here ... baby python near the bin who disappeared under the fridge, outlasted him, didn't want to call snake-catcher due to previous experience when they become entangled with the fridge workings and another baby green who came in the hallway from the garage, shooed that one out with a broome.
Lots of close encounters with brown snakes as a kid in western NSW.
I remember years ago a friend moved into a brand new suburb in Queensland and she had so much trouble with snakes, she said they would wake up in the morning and have them hanging down from the gutters.
I guess this is what happens when they knock so much virgin bush down the snakes have to go somewhere.

When I was a kid, it was floods that sent them towards the house area ... in great numbers LOL.
Thanks for the laughs today Celia.
:) Oh how true Celia LOL.
You really like big cats Celia, they are gorgeous of course, so many are vulnerable to extinction too sadly as again their habitat is getting taken over by humans.
