Who wants to win a DVD box set?

To celebrate the launch of our new forum category 'Watch, Listen, Read' we are giving you the chance to win a DVD set of one of the following TV series:

• Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries Series Two Volumes One and Two

• The Syndicate Series Two

• Stella Series One

We want to hear what your favourite TV series is – past, present or future. We have three numbers in mind. Then, whoever's posts match those numbers will win. For example, it may be the seventh poster, the 36th and the 87th poster who will win the DVDs. Oh, and the DVDs won will be decided at random too.

So, if you're interested, get on board!

It would appear the last competion (one about if you only had 5 years to live) won by Seth is missing .... I feel sure the winning comment with Seth's wisdom would be beneficial for others to read.

Did $eth actually get the prize ?

Seth did receive his prize Abby.

Thanks for that info FM ... was not sure whether $eth made a claim and

as his GD I have a great interest in all his winnings .... need to make

sure that he is NOT holding out on me :)

GD

Yes I did receive the unexpected prize Abby, and have quitely been enjoying them, I did go to great expense and had them copied and sent to your last address, they were returned with note, saying no such address exists, so I gave them to an unfortunate, laying in the gutter, drunk....  could have been Pete...

Have been watching Miss Fisher's murder mysteries, never realised it was set in the early days in Melbourne, she reminds me a little of the GD, with her weakness for males, although she has a close male friend who doesn't seem to know what she is doing, just like me and the GD.

DVD's are old hat now...............just download what you want using torrents.

Ooooh, be careful though Davey!

To get back to the topic at hand

I enjoy most documentaries especially ones about nature

and also am a sucker for detective stories like New tricks and the NCSI series.

Of course one must not forget serials like Bold and the Beautiful and the Good Wife

My all time favourite was "Six Feet Under". Also enjoyed "Puberty Blues", "Mad Men", "Sensing Murder" and the British comedy series "Getting On". Love "48 Hours" but rarely get to see it because they put it on so late.

I use

Catch-Up TV

if I miss out on my favourite programme

Can't get "48 Hours" on Catch-Up Abby. Great that we have this facility for catching up with much else though.

Looks as if you need the good old recording machine in that case :)

I still have mine but use it more for playing than recording.

Getting close to the first DVD giveaway (hint: it's within the next 10 posts!)

Wen ya gonna post it - can't wait fer ever yu know

Lord Gumble do you watch Bold and Beautiful ?

I confess I watch Bold and the Beautiful as it is on before the 5 p.m. news and that is when I am preparing dinner.  Only started watching a few months ago.  Should be explosive tonight now that Rick is about to get the news!!

Must agree with you Bold and Beautiful is an exciting family drama ... wonder if any blokes watch it or is it something that just appeals to women ?
