I watched (for the first time this week) a bit of Celebrity Jungle - ugh - the stuff they had to eat - revolting! Couldn't watch more than 5 mins - made me sick! .........
however....watched the bit called "World's End"? (I think it was called?) .... (promo's. got the better of me - lol lol)
They had to climb this crane thing sticking out the side and over a misty mountain and grab coloured flags? Would not have done that "dare" in a million years! lol
Made me wonder how long it will be 'til one of 'em has a nasty accident or worse - gets killed!!! That was horrendous!

I enjoy reality shows like The Living Room or The Home Team
I don't normally watch these shows...half an hour into Married at First Sight was enough to put me off for a while...
However...purely by accident I watched an encore of Bride and Prejudice..the episode when the gay man was trying to persuade his parents to attend his wedding in the US..
It was the saddest thing...I felt this chap's heartbreak and wondered how parents who gave birth to this man could be so damning of him...Then later I found out the mother was a wild child herself..worked in gay bars in her youth and then became a JW...
I have to ask the question...why do these people put themselves through this sort of scrutiny on TV...do they get paid a fortune?

Sorry to spoil your little moment of intrigue Foxy...no it is true I do not watch as a rule..but as I said two weeks ago I inadvertently watched some back to back encore episodes of Married at First Sight...I think we were in the middle of some very wet weather and it did provide some entertainment...as a matter of fact it was hilarious..so I thought I'd watch a current episode the next time..to see what was happening...
I even made curry puffs...if you remember...but when my friend arrived we had half an hour of it and had to switch off and watch a video..actually...it was putting us off our delicious curry puffs...
Again..I saw an encore episode of Bride and Prejudice ...I was watching something else on TV and when it was finished that came on and as I said I was very sad for the gay man so I kept watching...
Now that I have seen a couple of episodes of those two...I have to say I would need a bottle of lightly chilled red to watch another...

Well I'm watching the controversial show "Is Australia Racist" tonight! (Sunday) - and "FU to Racism" in the coming weeks on SBS - with Ray Martin as narrator! No doubt all the "know alls" and 'do gooders" will not be watching and still keeping their lil "closed minds "? lol lol lol .......

There is a show on Tuesday night SBS called "Date my Race". Heard a promo on it on the ABC in the early hours...sounds interesting.
.... yes - this show "Date my Race" - is the 2nd. of the FU2Racism series which started last night .........I think there may be 4 or 6 in the series? Not sure? ...... interesting also how SBS were forced to change the name of the shows........
Why? ...because all the "do-gooders" and PC people "thought" it meant "F--k U" ......most people knew it meant Face Up 2 Racism ..........but the PC peeps won again....pathetic people!
It's all about money, these shows cost very little to produce and make heaps. In the meantime top notch dramas are relegated to the late night time slot and the quality of programes slides steadily downwards.
We can't blame the producers, if no one wacthed these shows, they would not be made.
Having said that I must admit that I am a certain to watch Survivor.
lol - least you honest! Thing is - they can be recorded and then simply "flipped thru'' at leisure! Doesn't mean you have to actually "watch them all" :-)
I flip-thru "Celebrity Jungle" - the "fake" looking set and the screeching voice of the female host and the awful animal entrails/dead flies etc. they are expected to eat - is beyond me - ugh - revolting!

Yes Foxy, we record everything and flip through the adds, not that I mind the adds themselves, but I resent the fact that they enhance the sound so much that the noise itself annoys me. If they toned them down a bit I probably wouldn't bother skipping through them.

I'm on the road travelling but must admit to watching the odd episode of married at first sight...for the life of me I cannot understand why the o called experts match peopke who live in different states. This seems cruel.
My thoughts on latest, agree with Foxy...re Cheryl's father,, he looked and acted so rude, forcing someone to drink alcohol etc., a bad man (good manners prevents me from really letting loose on this old fart).

Back to "that" tv show, maybe these relationship experts choose partners fom different states to make the show more interesting/dramatic. If that's the case it's really bad as these are people's lives.
Myself, I'd only choose singles in similar areas, ie city / coastal singles in Queensland, or people from regional areas of same or adjacent states.
I don't think it matters if the relationship experts have or have not married, its just common sense - ie peoples values, beliefs and likes - dislikes. Partner doesn't need to be a carbon copy of a peron but there needs to be some common ground.
I watched a tape on Married at First Sight today....what a nasty piece of work that father turned out to be.
However, Andrew turned out to be not so nice either...he should have kept his mouth shut about Cheryl. Blind Freddy can see they are not suited. He is too old for her and she is very immature.
I doubt any of them will end up together.

Can only agree with your comments. I just flick through these shows...too many darn ads to watch when they come on of a night and most of it can be condensed down into a few minutes of what actually goes on.
Must be a definite lack of decent males out there...but then some of the women!!!!!!!!
All I can say is I am glad I was born when I was....the interaction between men and women was sure a lot different to what it is today and I would hate to be out there trying to meet a fella!
