The guy flying the first posted plane is the person on my post of " An Aussie Hero"

It is a powered parachute with the pilot inside.

My red " Stik " with the maltese cross on it ( last pic)  flew all day

Great pix Davey

That sure is one way of killing past time.

I'll do some doggy pics today Foxy

This is me

Beautiful pic Davey, question how are the planes powered? Petrol or  2 stroke like for lawn mowers and how do you know when they need to be landed before running out of fuel?

They can be 4 stroke or 2 stroke and most run on a mix of methanol / oil / nitro benzine. Some run on petrol and others are electric powered which is now the most popular. Batteries carried in the plane are rechargable of many types depending on needs.

There is a timer on the controling transmitter which you pre-set before take off for your required flight time of say 5 mins to 15 mins depending on amounts fuel or battery capacity carried on board. When it beeps you land quickly.

What more can I say????

Beautiful place/pic. Maybe is Lakes Entrance?

Where is that Davey ?

Durham Cathedrel , Durham City , England

That is one beautiful Cathedral.

Has anyone been to the Bairnsdale Catholic Church? It is absolutely worth a visit to see the most wonderful paintings. Also worth laying on the floor, and looking up, as the ceiling is a masterpiece. Was funny the day we were there, about 20 people all laying in the isles looking at the ceiling, and none stood up quickly, as it is like being in a dream it is SO beautiful.

Davey you could take a pic. and post it along with all your other lovely ones.

Durham Cathedrel was first started in the year 774

But it was too late - the memo was at the bottom :)

Just adore the windows - yes as you said it is a beautiful church.

Didn't ever think of lying on the floor to look at the ceilings! Got any photos of Norwich Cathedral Davy? I have somewhere but not so good as yours.
