It's that time of year again ... and the falcons are on the nest. Hope we enjoy their daily journey as many on here have done in the past.

We need Foxy to start a running bird commentary. Isn't she back from the arctic circle yet?
I think Foxy got sick of YLC's trolls like you Lucca. Found better things to do with her time than not being appreciated here by a couple of people.
Now...who's the troll here!!! Seems you have nothing better to do than to attack and troll Lucca.
Have anything to say about the falcons???
Sophie,
Lucca, I am very sure is man enough to take care of himself without you rushing in to defend him.
Are you "man enough" to mind your own business? I think not! I will defend anyone I darn well please!
Sophie,
You are humiliating Lucca. There is a name for women like you.
Any man would be embarrassed ... I'm sure Lucca is.
He's not your little boy, so don't treat him as such.
humiliate me??? Sophie and I have been friends from day 1.
now Axel, tell me, what is that name for women like Sophie?
got some knitting to do, old chap, that will keep you out of trouble lol
I rest my case. I rest my case.
you know exactly the term used for women like Sophie.
Isn't it way past your bed time?
Yep Axel, I know exactly the names used for women like Sophie -- intellligent, loyal, pretty and will defend her friends to the end.
Does anyone defend you, or does all this anger arise from domestic situations you find yourself in hmmmm!
Thank you for the compliments Lucca
One has to ignore Axel .... he is showing all the symptoms of acute hen pecked domestication and is unleaching repressed emotions here, poor man!
The Peregrine falcons have started hatching.
RnR - Would this be the same Falcon from last year? They say that birds return to the same spot.

Kids are full an dad takes off with the remains
Getting bigger and bigger ...
Heads up after a preen ...
Look at their bulging crop .. they are definitely well fed :)
Had a little look to spot mum with a snack but all the kids were out to it so she took the snack and took off.
Mum just did afternoon tea
:) Thanks Suze.
Just checking back to hatching 30th September 21 that you have put up RnR
"After hatching, the nestlings (called eyases) stay in the nest for 35 – 42 days before they are ready to fledge.
After fledging, the young birds continue to rely on their parents for another 4 – 6 weeks for food and to master the flying and hunting skills they need in order to survive."
So you have a few more weeks of duty left :)
Friday early morning with mum on guard duty
Getting hard to fit in the nest at 8.53 am
FREEDOM DAY
This little story of the babies with mum and dad reminds me of the Black Swans that lived across the road on a lake, then one day the Cygnets were shown by dad to take off from the water, that took a few days and then they were all gone. It was sad to not see them, it must have taken nearly 10 months from the eggs hatching and the Cygnets flew away. But I was reading it was a shorter period of time, but it seemed like a good 9 to 10 months to us. Perhaps they were slow learners!
Yahoo for them Suze.
A magnitude 5.9 earthquake startled the residents of Melbourne on Wednesday morning - including one rare peregrine falcon shaken from a nest full of eggs. A live video stream of the nest, tucked into a ledge on an office building in the city's central business district, caught the moment the trembles struck, causing the spooked falcon to leap from its nest to the edge of the building, and then dive off it with a squawk.
