Jessica Watson

Teen sailor Jessica Watson says she has survived her toughest test to date with her yacht being slammed on its side four times by rogue waves and cyclonic winds in the Atlantic ocean.

Watson's online blog says after experiencing her first knockdown - which is when the mast goes below horizontal and into the sea - she then suffered three more during the eight-hour storm.

She was battered with wind gusts of up to 70 knots and a swell up to 10 metres.

What a remarkable young girl, at first I thgought

her parents were crazy to let such a young girl

go on her own in a small yacht, being on a troopship

amid a storm was terrifying enough,

I could only imagine being on a yacht would be like

It was wonderful to see her welcome home, seth.

Watched for the hours it took today to see her cross the line.

Fantastic...............:)

Good on her and she decided to do the deed at 11.

What determination and guts.

Yes Phyl your quite right, it brings back memories of

my childhood, the hours of preparation before the attempt

to row around albert park lake with the help of three mates,

ending up in the water after a bit of rocking the boat. seth.

Having the first ride on the vibration machine must have

taken a lot of determination for you both.

considering you were both thrown off the first attempt.

Has Peters fractures healed yet? seth.

You are a very funny man Seth...........

Peter my cute husband grew up living opposite Albert Park Lake

so no wonder he follows the Swans ;-)

.

We have not fallen off our Vibration Platform but we do have to wear tight clothing

around our special bits 'cause it hurts when we wobble on very high :red:

I hae started taking Q10 twice a day and Vit. D so have not had an Arrhythmia

episode this week good hey?

.

Could have something to do with Resveratrol also. We spend so much on

vitamins we have to live on soup lol and of course have to get up an hour earlier

to take them all as they reach from the front door to the back when laid end to end

and we have a long house

Try and be good

Phyl.

There must be something in arrythmias that give

you an appreciation of the gift of life so that you make

the most out of it, even picking on poor pilots,

mick has disappeared again, probably ashamed

after an attempt to defraud the repat

.

Does Peter remember {Or is he too young}

The cost of 3d or 6d to hire a boat on the lake.

we rowed out to the island and became pirates.

great fun, seth.

We know what Jessica has done but when you

take it in.... for a 16 yr.old to have stuck it out for so long.

It would be an achievement for an adult let alone a teenager..

When I saw that she is a 'Taurus' i understood. seth.
