It's 6.30 a.m. time to get up! you know what day it is.........
It's Boxing Day no good sleeping in today THE VERY best bargain day of the year.
Couldn't sleep so will be exhausted later today but the shops open early.
Does anyone else think having prawns and seafod for Christmas dinner makes for
not having to plough through heaps of left over turkey and ham which is nice but sometimes there is just too much? We only bought enough seaford for us two, so can just eat normal now.
Enjoy your Boxing Day 2009 folks as it is "a one off day"
Phyl.
Thanks lolih but I was also wondering about the length of said stand. The one we are now watching is around 3ft long but the base of the older teles. is also not much less.... but the 50inch screen we are getting has a base just would it be maybe 18inches long - yes Peter says around that. SO do we buy a long base to match the screen or a chubby one to match the base all will be black. decisions decisions  s please
I actually meant length. my tv is not quite as wide as the stand and looks fine, the height is about eye level, but you can also mount it on the wall they look good that way too.
I have a wooden one as my home has a lot of wood in it--it also has a place for the DVD Video etc--and also cupboards on each side--good for storing DVDs and videos etc --here is a site that gives you and ide as to what is around Phyl

I personally like the wider ones and think they look better with the wider TV
Yes PlanB, you described mine better than I did, the stand/cabinet matches the furniture and the tv then blends better.
Now I am with you 2.
Wider as in long not wide as in width lol. They ae not very wide now adays hey........
Thanks both of you.
Good site Jane.
Hi Ho Hi Ho it's off to look we go. Fantastic Furniture is a place with reasonable stuff.
We will go look there first and then wherever. Fun Fun Fun.
We are having a beautiful healthy dinner tonight lol
er pies and sauce but lots of fruit for after so not too bad and we are craving a pie and in Peter's case 2.
We are watching wait for it and say "oh no" Carry on Movies - very corny have to admit.
Have a lovely eve.

I think I am wrong innes ..............was it Wild Oats that had Spinnaker trouble ..........a Seniors moment for me on this one ...............
Hi Clay, It was Wild Oats. I wonder if the skipper believes in keelhauling? The cost of the 4 main yachts has got to be disgusting in this modern world.

Isn't the Yacht Tracker amazing!
Wow that Tasman Sea would frighten the heck out of me but still would love to be
there.
If names had anything to do with winning I would choose St. Jude :) or maybe shamrock.
So exciting. Hope everyone keeps safe.
I am very aware that the Sydney to Hobart, will not compete with the Test, BUT, we should note the position of "Sailors with Disabilities"
This boat is a tribute to the great Australian.
All the crew have severe disabilityl problems, ranging from arnless & blindness to paraplegia & everything in between.
For this crew to even finish, is absolutely amazing.
Apart from their amazing fortitude, you have to consider that they are currently holding down 27th position overall, in a Lyons 54, built in the early 90's. They are only 50 odd miles behind Alpha Romeo, & I believe, ahead of her, on handicap. This boat is so far out of it , that if sailed by normal crew, it would be somewhat of a joke.
This entry is the equivelant of entering an Model T Ford against a new Ferrari at Le Mans, & then, just for fun, removing one of the arms of the Model T driver.
Just compare the Lyons 54 to Helsall 111, a 12 foot longer boat that is of a similar vintage & just had around $600K spent on updating & upgrading, which is currently holding 90th position.
Yes well said innes..............bing have some very good info on all of the boats I think ............ :-)
my stand is about 9,in wider than the tv, so it doesn't look lopsided, just a thought!
