So many different vaccines, it's confusing.
I'm very lucky not to have any serious underlying conditions so I think I'll wait a while before rushing in. Can completely understand the urgency some people feel about it, but I wish there wasn't so much negatuve feedback about after affects.

LONDON (Reuters) - British scientists on Monday (today) launched a trial which will deliberately expose participants who have already had COVID-19 to the coronavirus again to examine immune responses and see if people can get reinfected.
In phase one, up to 64 healthy participants, aged 18-30, who were infected with coronavirus at least three months ago will be reinfected with the original strain of SARS-CoV-2.
They will then quarantine for at least 17 days and be monitored, and anyone who develops symptoms will be given Regeneron monoclonal antibody treatment………

This should have happened for the usual three year 'in-clinic' tests before the five different Covid-19 vaccines were released for the roll-out among the world's citizens.

There is no proof that both of them had a Covid-19 vaccination, it was a published assumption by the media to try to convince the citizens to have a vaccine.

I have a girl friend having hers today, also her husband is having his. She had a kidney transplant some years ago and the doctors have told her she must and needs to have it. I am sitting on tenderhooks.

Mak, I am far from being "self-opinionated". I just quote the science and listen to the medical experts. I don't indulge in scare-mongering and conspiracy theories.
Also, the chances of serious side-effects have been shown to be very long. About one in a million might die. We all take chances every day, including driving, that are more likely to lead to serious injury.
My comment was to reassure Celia - not scare her as you are likely to do.

Secondly, UK is about to make matters worse. We will say there are types 1, 2, 3 and 4 vaccines. First jab is one these 4. The second is one of the 3 remaining so not to repeat the the numbered first jab. The third jab is 1 of the 2 remaining that are unused. Gosh what are they trying to do? kill off the people. It was said some time ago, do NOT use an alternative other than the brand you have for the first jab.

Never trust what a politician says, and if there was a God, human beings would not have to tolerate attacks from deadly viruses, and, to Lucca, as I sit in my plush apartment in Buckingham Palace it is pleasing to read that many Australians are sensible enough not to rush in to be vaccinated with an untested substance. Many people in every country in the world are cancelling, or have cancelled their vaccine appointments, especially many Australians.
People with intelligence will not be convinced by the Boris, ScoMo et al, or other advertisers to get a Covic-19, or influenza 'jab' when people can choose what to accept, or reject which substance is injected into their bodies.
It would have to have been their second dose. Bit darn late isn't it? Supposed to have it 3 weeks between first and second. They had their first injection on Jan 9th or 10th (depends where you live as to what date).

That's another thing I told them to shove it where the sun don't shine! Their damn MyGov Medical data base. Every doctor I go to has a record of all medical data, medications I am allergic to, and any shots I have had over the years (that's a blank page as I have had none.) So if anything happens to me, my doctor at the time can send the hospital a copy. (too late if I am in the morgue though).
i'm less worried about having the covid vaccination than worried about the impact of the disease on health and economies all around the world..luckily the delays in vaccination in Australia is giving the different vaccines more time to be tested with mass vaccinations overseas.... Australia is very fortunate that our leaders acted promptly to avoid the disastrous impacts suffered in other countries and, athough it's tragic for those people and their families who have died with the virus the relatively few numbers in Australia is a tiny fraction of the millions who have died in other countries and our economy also seems to be bouncing back as well..how lucky are we

Here's one person who didn't have anything wrong, now the end result after the vaccine - she CAN'T wash in soap. Her body has now totally reacted to it. (My sis-in-law), I told her don't get the jab yet, but she's a blonde f**k up who is lacking in common sense, even when the facts are in front of her. My younger son has auto immune too he got it from both his fathers sister side of the family and my late father so he got it both sides of the family tree; it is hereditary.

I have treated other with auto-immune disease but obviously way worse than yours. They were covered in brown scaly skin in various areas, which resembled corn flakes. Motivation - none to buckleys. Tiredness - at the max. Weight loss but not drastic. Sleepy most of the day and night. Now those people have regained strength, at full time work, sleep patterns normal. (bearing in mind Corona has drastically reduced working at the Office).
So don't tell me I have no idea what I am talking about. The only difference between me and a naturopath is I didn't do a few years of studying to get where I am today. It was years and years of a hard slog.
I tend to agree with you Celia, genes play a vital role in everyone's health. I'm sure you are a sensible woman and eat a healthy diet, as we all try to do, but the bottom line is what our ancestors long ago, have passed down to us. Hopefully one day, science will be able to tell us which ones.
