Your are right Celia., and doesn't the Yellow and the Amethyst blend in beautifully?
Thanks ladies!
I know I put together more butterflies on the old Animal Thread last year, but it surprised me that there were so many other varieties that I had not seen before, especially the transparent winged variety. They always amaze me.
Such stunning butterflies, thanks Celia.
Hengshui Wildlife Park uploaded a video of the monkey named Banjin smoking in Hengshui, Hebei province, yesterday. In the video a woman off-screen removes the cigarette and tells off the animal, saying smoking is harmful. The monkey rubs his eyes and falls on his back after the cigarette is taken from him. The zoo keepers said they shot the video to raise public awareness against the vice. They added that the captive monkeys usually do not smoke.

That's the spot! Albino alligator grins from ear to ear as zoo keeper gives her a scrub
Hilarious footage shows a rare albino alligator called Coconut smiling a toothy grin while California zoo keeper Juliette Brewer gives her a scrub to remove algae from her back. The alligator is one of around just 200 albinos in the world. Ms Brewer said: 'She's an albino so you can see she has all kinds of algae around her so what I do is give her a little bit of a bath and just scrub her. And look at her, she just loves it!' The footage, posted by The Reptile Zoo on Instagram, has been liked more than 102,000 times.
I didn't appreciate how colourful an insect could be!
