You will be o.k. Mr Rudd just stay strong and ignore the knockers.

If all the ideas Mr. Rudd has in store for Australia come to pass
we will all be in a good position.
I would think many of the Libs. throwing garbage at Labour
might jump over and give our boy another three years.
I know many who are in agreeance Labour deserves another three years
mainly because of the difficult time Mr. Rudd came into power.
The Man has many Supporters.

Really? where is the sign on the door says Liberal Voters only???

Do you pay for this site toot?

What a cheek to be honest. I could add how dare you and I think

Administration would agree they opened the Politics room for ALL Political Discussion

or is it stated JUST LIBERAL SUPPORTERS???? If so Show us toot.

I would think there are so many rude Liberal Supporters some would vote

Labour just to nark them if it were just a bit to serious to do that.

I have not seen any rude Labour voters. Is this because they are all

nicer people?

** Give me the Labour People on this Forum anyday.

Rudd will be re-elected, but not for being strong or having succesful policies.

Batts

Ber

Green loans

Border control, etc, etc.

It will be as I and others have predicted. Disaffected Labor voters are swinging to the Greens.

Significantly, almost all of Labor’s 7.3 per cent primary vote loss, since the election, has gone to the Greens (3.9 per cent)

99% of their preferences will swing to the ALP, and BINGO! he's in again.

What is certain, is that Rudd can’t afford to speculate. He needs to understand quickly what has happened, and why, otherwise he’ll be constantly calling “coo-ee” out to the electorate but will not be getting any response from the voters and will end up grazing in the bush with the wallabies, all the while looking at his bowling ball and wondering not only “where the bloody hell are you?” but “what the bloody hell happened-!!”

Poll watcher Andrew Catsaris describes the startling collapse in Labor’s support:

Edit to add:

After a few months, Rudd will be gone, Gillard will be elected leader, for no other reason than to be able to say we have a female PM.

Yareti - come in spinner, ha ha

Yareti - come in spinner, ha ha

Me thinks you should learn how to spell Toot

If you are going to try to make fun of someone

you should at least try to get the persons name right.

???????????????????????

My political statement lest I be accused of posting in the wrong place.

I think that the budget was fair enough all things considered

At least Mr Rudd is not trying buy votes like some others in the past

that I could name.

I am sorry toot2000, but I thought that the Political Site was for

Political comment from all. I am unashamedly right wing, but

definately a swinging votor. You are probably right in that Rudd

deserves another 3 years, BUT, I don't think Australia deserves

another 3 years of Labor !!! If just one of Rudds ideas come to

fruition we will be in a better place.

Sorry toot2000, I meant to say

You are probably right in that Rudd

deserves another 3 years, Yaretzi

All Rudd deserves is what his own party is planning for him. Exit from the Lodge. Replacement as Leader.

Oh and I do love the fact that Labour is out in the UK

Hurrah Hurrah Hurrah for common sense on the part of the Lefties Lib Dems even they couldn't stomach Labour.

How ever long it lasts will make a case for a higher pound against the dollar and benefit many British Pensioners here who are suffering with the 60p currently.

We didn't like Howard either togather with our Treasurer Peter Costello.

I suppose no PM can please all people all the time.

I think a lot of Rudd criticism has been overboard and some of it quite insulting and rude which is to be discounted and ignored. You can use strong language without getting into the gutter.

Hope Rudd sees it through and hope his Budget works out; it'd better, our livelyhood depends on it**

There are polls and then there are polls..so who knows?

THE verdict on the 2010 Budget is in – and it may give Kevin Rudd pause for thought.

More than 68 per cent of respondents to a national News Limited poll said the Federal Government had not delivered with this year’s Budget.

And the package unveiled by Treasurer Wayne Swan last night was disappointing enough for some to change their vote at the next election, subsequent polls suggested.

The biggest vote switch was in resource-rich Western Australia, where 29 per cent of voters said they would abandon their previous allegiance and throw their support behind the Coalition. In Victoria, the figure was 28 per cent, with a further 7 per cent saying they would opt for a minor party.

If Rudd is re-elected we definitely will have an ETS, and then my friends, no-one will be complaining about the GST.

If I read my Advertiser correct, I thought the front page and the editorial sounded positive.

That guy that runs the 'money' magazine (?) gave it thumbs up on Sunrise this morning.

I also do not go into depth to understand or follow it... so my opinion is not worth much.

I am glad he did not cut the pension*

What a joke is the UK politics.

Nick Clegg's party, the Liberal Democrats, got a pasting in the election losing 5 seats and now Clegg is the deputy prime prime minister.

Because of the mess where many never got to vote and because there was no clear winner, the queen should have called another election.

Now the UK has an ineffective government to try and fix the financial trouble they are in.

I can only see things getting worse over there.

We didn't like Howard either togather with our Treasurer Peter Costello.

It is very difficult to respect a person who looks straight into the camera ...and fibs, and distorts the truth so often.

*As far as 'overboard criticism' I 've watched and listened to the parents of at least one of the boys killed during the monumental installation fiasco. And the disgusting false apology the morning after the story on 4 Corners on the first boy killed as a result of the insulation fiasco.

People may not have liked Howard, but by heaven, the man had genuine compassion, and didn't need to pose on church steps to make himself look good.

Why hasn't Rudd released the four letters that warned of the dangers inherent in the scheme?

He talks about the 'greatest moral and economic' challenge of our time, and suddenly it doesn't matter till 2013.

*Have a look at this if you care to.

Oh yes, and we might ask a few people who lost $$$thousands overnight after the announcement of the mining tax.

We might also ask a few school principals who have had forced on them, buildings constructed at a cost of $800,00.00, which, quoted by another builder of choice, at a cost of $250,000.00.

See also elsewhere where constructions meant for the Aborigines have gone to Chrismas Is...which was describe by Labor in opposition as a 'white elephant'.

I've said it before, but here it is again.

At least Hawke, Keating , and Whitlam , had conviction and truly believed in their policies....they had conviction. You knew where you were with them.

They genuinely believed in what they were doing.

They had values.

Not Rudd.

A person has to earn respect.

I believe that Rudd needs more time as he came in at a very hard / bad time I sure have more respect for him that I did for Howard and Abbott--but they are all tared with the same brush and are all puppets
