There are so many bad news stories about over-50s, and yet, the overwhelming majority of those I meet are vibrant, happy and engaged in the community. One of the things we'd like to change is the negative stereotypes of older Australians. You're older, not old. You're fightin' fit and healthy, not frail and broken. There's a lot left in those tanks – which we know and love about you.

Of course, we understand that some of you are doing it tough, and we want to do what we can to raise awareness of your plight, too. There is not enough support for you, we know, but only through raising awareness of this, and making Australia take notice of you, that we'll get action.

So join us in fighting the good fight. Help us change attitudes and behaviours towards older Australians. We can't do it without you. This is your chance to tell Australia like it is, good or bad.

Feeling positive about your overall wellbeing?

Feeling physically 10 years younger than you are?

Feeling positive about your mental health?

been a victim of age discrimination when it comes to employment?

a lack of understanding of Government pensions or allowances?

a sense of social disconnection as a result of COVID-19?

Would you share your stories with us? We're looking to do some extensive coverage of older Australians' wellbeing in the media this year. But we need your help to paint the true picture of life after 50. We are looking for real-life stories and quotes to use and we're hoping we can get them from you.

Your stories or quotes could be seen on social media, television news or current affairs programs, mainstream media (ABC, The Age, SMH, etc). You can choose to offer us comments, long or short, case studies or quotes or the story of your life right now. We can do it by phone, email or video chat. You can be anonymous, attributed or go by a pseudonym.
