Who's having fish today?

I saw a Wollies ad on tv about fish for Good Friday and got some yesterday.  You pick your fish and a choice of marinade, they put it in a bag, then all you have to do is pop it in the oven and serve, no smell no fuss.  I got the saddletail snapper fillets, 3 bits for $11.48.  Never heard of sadletail snapper before but she assured me it's from Australia.  Hope it's nice, will let you know.

Sounds nice Toot. Harder and harder to get Aussie grown or made. We have neveer heard of that fish either.

Many people buy and of course eat Bassa but er not for us :)

We are having fish :) and also only day we eat hot cross buns - eye them off from Christmas but nah today is THE hot cross bun day in our family.

I agree Phyl, if you eat basa, you might glow in the dark, that river in Vietnam is filthy.  It's funny how things rub off on your children, my eldest daughter is involved in water skiing and they are all up at the Hawkesbury River for a big weekend camping in caravans and tents this Easter.  She said her family will be the only ones having fish today, her teenage kids think she's nuts but she doesn't care and she's not the least bit religious.

Seggie. Sardines on toast here. Mother-in-law's idea, mashed up with a dash of Worcestshire sauce. Lovely.

After what I was told, supposedly 'Australian' prawns are not always Australian. The problem is, how would you know? You tend to believe what supermarket signs say. I did once but not now.

They say produce of Australia which could mean they were caught anywhere in the worls by Australian ships, I would prefer to buy fish if it said"Caught in Australian waters or "wherever" in the seas by Australian ships" at least it would be a more informed choice.

The saddletail snapper is better known here in Qld as nannygai. I have caught them and always thought they were excellent eating.

I see most of the supermarkets sell imported seafood which I refuse to buy as the stuff I once bought was rather tasteless or not nice. That applies in my opinion to basa.

The same applies to prawns - I only eat Australian prawns - they are far superior to the imported junk.

Thanks Fwed, can't wait until tea time.

Seggie. Being of a curious nature, I googled saddletail snapper and found out what it is. I'd never heard of it but now I will go to our fish shop and ask if they have any. Thanks, fwed.

I had some left over chicken drumsticks

I was going to eat the rabbit, but thought I'd waitl until it had laid all the eggs.

Oh gee , you are going to eat the Easter bunny ? Shock, horror.

It has all been very deathly quiet in all the houses/gardens around here, all morning, but is finally waking up with the sound of children's voices. Nice.

Why is called GOOD FRIDAY?

It was not a good day for the poor bugger nailed to a cross.

Home caught flathead fillets here along with tuna fish cakes home made and tossed salad.

If you have to ask why it is called 'Good Friday' your' knowledge is lacking.

Some people just don't understand jokes

Guess who is looking for The Easter Bunny's killer and eater this Easter?

He is asking everyone he sees "DO YOU KNOW A BLOKE CALLED

...............SETH?"

The Easter Bunnies brother LOL See Below.

That seth, who does he think he is, wanting to eat the easter bunny.

Let's all gang up on him, WAit a minute I find him a great bloke always willing to help the helpless, a true gentleman, always there to help the elderly cross the road, even if they don't want to.
