Who do we vote on the next elections ???

Is time for us to start thinking very hard ..... Who do we vote to make this country better like use to be or at least to start making changes that make sense for us and future generations .... great problem

We do not have any politician that will be capable to make drastic changes because they all looking after themself and no the Country.

Have a look at this report from Sky News ...... is a clear definition of our political disaster we have and continue having if we do not have a serious thinking and take drastic actions

Is Time now to think about our country and the people and this report will ilustrate the mess we are at the moment and if we do not do something we will be like another Venezuela .......

Well I wont be allowing this racing tadpole back in. He is spouting off stuff he should have done when in his position, not leave it till the very end and when an election is eminent. Also after reading and all that money he wants to toss around....DO you see anything for pensioners???? Nope not a iota of that.

Basic wage is $64,000 annually, a pensioner couple get $36,244 annually. Hey thats way short of even a basic wage. Cripes no wonder its hard to pay all of our bills plus feed two people.

So who do I vote for......logics!

What party has been consistently saying the same thing they want to do 12 - 24 months ago????

What party is now hanging carrots in front of donkeys???? and not a single word about what they would want to do.

Thats what I am basing my vote choice on.

Morrison has delayed anything in regards to caring for the environment, now he is blubbering about doing some sort of renewable deal. He is all for coal, and so are some of the old guard.

If the major parties had in the past, actively sort to install wind or solar, we would now be light years ahead.

WOWOWOWO no questions on my mind that "WORDS ARE CHEAP" and wowowo so many promises again they are go to make the country much better and he GUARANTEE ..... Really Another Bullshit and many people will believe and vote for them WOWOWOWO ... Just look at his face with a cynical smile

Correct Beemee .... They think we are donkeys's and feed us with AU$75 of carrots ......

Thanks for the money but they not getting my vote ....sorry

Just been investigating buying an E-car, not too many to pick from in Australia as the manufacturers don't want to send any over, it seems that we are seen as a backward country that does not embrace green technology. They are becoming very popular in Europe but it seems Australia has missed the boat again.  Even when we can buy e-cars, the infrastructure won't be there to support them.

The coal interests run this country not this puppet government.

I agree with Twila's comment that we have far too many politicians, and agree that we could easily afford to lose one level of Government, but like exPS said - which one?

I long held the belief that if we were given the chance I would have opted to get rid of the State level, but with what has been happening with our local councils I'm thankful we never got the chance to choose.

Now I would probably choose to lose the local level. Our council has no pollies at the moment, they all got the sack lol, and it seems to be ticking along ok.  I can't say I've noticed any real difference, apart of course from the constant patting themselves on the back that used to occur.

Mind you that will start up again soon enough, elections again next year.   In all honestly I find the whole political scene rather depressing these days and am losing interest in bothering to keep up with it.

If the Government weren't so keen on all those donations and actually got a backbone, they could change the laws to included the 69 companies who are not paying any tax at all. No wonder we keep getting hit with rising costs.

A lot of that damn surplus is from tobacco tax. Its been going up annually for the past 5 years approx, and something that was $30 for 50 grams is now $80. No I quit smoking, but I feel for those who haven't or can't. Why not use the money to assist those who want to quit? Now the Government want to squash E-Cigerettes that is helping some get off of it. I got a letter from some klutz in Government stating they need to investigate how safe it is. I bet they do only one test and the results will be across the board. There are 2 types of E-Cigerettes, one contains Glycol, the other is more natural. As a smoker for 46 years (I started late), this is the only thing that has assisted me in quitting.

The Government will only do what will benefit them and where they can hide something, or get kickbacks in some way. Not an honest one amongst them. Their agenda seems to be 'screw the little man and protect big business'.

FYI in Thailand E-Cigarrets are ilegal for a long time .... What are we done ???? NOTHING but now sounds good for election time wowowowo

http://www.thaiembassy.org/london/en/services/7747/86207-Prohibition-of-e-cigarettes.html

They are illegal as it is supposedly to promote youngsters from smoking. Have you seen an adult of 18 and over going into a tobacco shop and buying tobacco or cigarettes, only to come out to exchange it for cash or if already paid, just hand over to kids who would be 12 - 15 years old. I have, and this banning does not stop them from smoking. It just makes those in Government appearing as if they are doing the right thing.

You probably correct .... lots of people smoke in Thailand cigarrets are super cheap here .... I do not smoke but I seen a lot of people smoking everywhere

At the moment I don't know who will get my vote, but I have figured out who will not. Maybe that's the way to do it, just eliminate the ones that have failed to meet expectations one by one and vote for the one that's left.

I agree exPS! That's what I'm doing.

So far I've only managed to eliminate two parties. Labor/Unions and the Greens. I think Sherlock Holmes used a similar mathematical equation in problem solving. How are you going with your process of elimination?

I've eliminated Lib/Nat and ON, looks like we have cancelled each other out.  Won't ever vote Green, they have no idea what they are doing politically.  So looks like you are ahead by a nose.

I would have thought that if you vote Labor/Unions you are also voting for the Greens?

Keep thinking, you'll get it right sooner or later.  But full points for giving it a go.

Greens and Labor sign parliamentary agreement

After seeing what those  CFMEU hoodlums did to Will Connolly..I think people should be very aware. However..I am glad Bill Shorten has told the unions to put One Nation last.

I feel the Australian public have to make a big decision. Ignore how they feel about Scott Morrison and think about how much damage the Labor party can do to Australia at this point in time.

Labor has pensions and pensioners in their sight..the LNP are in favour of tighter gun laws and that resonates well with me.

Weighing up the pros and cons over the last 12 months or more, I can see one party is more to my thinking. I can put aside my abhorrence to Morrison, but he is not the one for me. When you are interviewed by reporters or similar, you are expected to answer the question not continually avoid it. That shows arrogance. I don't trust him at all, there is something decidedly sneaky about him. Didn't your mother ever tell you that a person who talks too much and loudly, is hiding a lot of things. If they keep talking loudly and frequently enough, you will never be able to get a word in or ask any pertinent questions.

Yes he comes across as a bit of a used car salesman.  I would not pick a Party based on the Leader myself, they seldom run the Party.  Policy is more important than personality or lack of it.

Why make excuses for Bill Shorten. He is calling the shots for the Unions. If he gets in look for him to send plenty of money to the unions as did Rudd and Gillard. Both on the books with $10m each. And I dont think it was for training? Because training was another expenditure entry.

i am awaiting the debate between Shorten and Morrison pre election

No need to make excuses for Bill Shorten, but for goodness judge on intelligence.

Take a look here at these 2 links and tell me he isn't flogging a dead horse? If he had a brain he would realise pushing coal is not the answer when the rest of the world is going to alternatives. I know Australia is behind the rest of the world, but this is downright ridiculous.

Chinese port bans imports of Australian coal, sending dollar tumbling
Feb 21, 2019

https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/feb/21/chinese-port-bans-imports-of-australian-coal-sending-dollar-tumbling

start saving your money to buy your new electric car if Shorten gets in!!  I am sure the motoring industry is pleased.  now delaying buying a new car ourselves and will run our old one into the ground.

Yeah, let’s just stick with the current WOEFUL mob led by a scheming, lying, coal loving, bullshit artist who have done nothing about climate change and energy policy. They have no vision for the future - that of our children and grand children -  but at least you will be able to buy your new petrol/diesel sucking, polluting car if you get them back into power.

BTW, it is only NEW petrol and diesel driven cars that will be unavailable from about 2030. Second hand cars will still be exchanged and legal to drive. Most of us will probably be getting around on scooters by then if we are still alive.

Ny19, I think you would make more sense with your ranting if you change your wording to reflect the facts. Try changing the words "coal loving" to "Industry loving" ??

I suppose when Australia's industry is all but closed down we will have less need for coal, but at this time we are relying on exporting coal to balance the budget.

Yes remember ye good old days when hysterical old men were running around forecasting the end of the world because people were giving up riding horses in favour of those undependable auto mobiles.  All those stables closed down, ow on earth were people going to make a living?  Oh that's right, they just moved on to the new industries provided by the new tecnology.  Other countries are willingly moving to E- cars, they have an educated and free thinking government and poulation.  If we are relying soley on coal to balance the budget we are far much worse off than I thought.

The rest of the world is moving on, but yet again Australia will be left behind.  We used to be known as world leaders, we are know kown as a country of backward technophobes.

Adrianus, your stupid comments about ranting are not serving you well, I seem to remember some epic rants of your own being put up with, hypocracy only serves to make you look foolish.

people have short memories...remember how Labor fared when they had to deal with the Greens last time they were in power....Wayne Swan was not a happie chappie at all and said so.  lot of nutters and nutty policies with the Greens and they will try to push them through if Labor get in.  ..........be warned!!

exy, you're funny mate he he he!

ardnher, the Greens have been wanting to close down coal mines and coal fired power stations for more than a decade to my knowledge and they dont care that the households will be collateral damage. Their lack of vision doesnt allow them to have an alternative to ease the pain on households. Labor and the Greens are a match made in heaven if they can agree to stop fighting. They both have a negative version of the world.

Here we are only 3 Hours left to hear the news about the budget and the next election date I think so lets get ready .... Glass of Red some munchies like peanuts maybe pop corn ???? or maybe a cold one ...whatever you like but lets be ready to listen the buying price for your vote $75 for singles and more for couples ..... that is really trying to buy your vote ... because what about the other recipients ???? Nothing for them Ummmmm no questions on my mind ...IT IS A BUYING VOTES PAYMENT .......

Yep, they are doing a “Howard” Aussie - bribing for votes. For the first time in years I am not interested in watching the budget broadcast. My hubby and friends feel the same way. Don’t trust them in the least and know they have let our country down every which way. I just hope they lose the election and we can have a fresh start with a wiser Labor + Independents government. We HAVE to get rid of this bunch of Lib/Nat PRETENDERS!!!

20 mins to go for the official bribe anouncement wowowowowo for $75 I sell myself to the devil .....he he he he are they the Devil ????? maybe they are Ummmmm

Yes Aussie,  I was bored stiff it was a talkfest and with repeats over and over -- what a miserable load of absolute BS

Well folks, it has now become a very clear choice.

The LNP are on track to deliver surplus budgets from now, as they said they would 5 years ago. They can do this without stealing retiree's savings. They are delivering tax cuts for over 10m workers, which in my opinion is way better than a wage rise, because it does not give us more of the 'cost of living pressure' associated with price increases.

On the other hand, Labor/Greens/Unions want to give us $200B of additional taxes, push up wages, push up prices, increase foriegn aid, increase immigration, close down industry etc. Same old ideology. Let's face it, those who want to drag us down to the dark days again need some WD40.

Yep folks, clear choice, just take the lollies/sparkly object off the nice man and follow him round the corner into that dark alley.  There you will find everything you deserve, I am sure some of you will really enjoy the experiance.

exy, why dont you tell us about your experiences over the last 6 years? How were you disadvantaged by this government?

I have not as yet read all the posts here -- but after watching that smirking SOB -- Morrison -- a REAL DICATOR and the way he went on while the budget was being read out -- which was really a talk fest -- repeat/repeat/repeat --and once again kept knocking the Labour -- they never stop that, everytime they are interviewed,  -- they have been in for 6 years -- and they leave it till NOW! to make all these  --------- promises!    Why haven't they done something while they have been IN!?

Also with NO comeback in parliament to discuss they have to be  --------- joking

They have proved to be  a sneaky, lying lot.

It is not just that smirking Judus Morrison I hate it is actually everyone in that party, everyone of them are scum -- Susan Ley/M Cash/and the likes of Bridgette McKenzie -- it would take too long to list the lot

Be careful don't spend ALL the money in one shop --  miserable bastards

Well Ladies and Gents .... what do you think with the Budget ??? 10 years and will be no Debts wowowowo that has been the biggest Bull I ever hear .... I can do marvellous things with my spreadsheet I maintain a budget to calculate my financial life and is never as plan is always something that go wrong so if they say 10 out of debt is a total rubbish that will never happen.

Just look at the Budget history with all governments ... never balance as promise ... it is impossible because there are to many variables that create many problems.

So in Summary ??? DO WE GET THEM BACK IN POWER ???? what do you think

My vote is "NO NO NO" ... what is yours ??? lets make a count

PlanB ... you are the votes controller so give us a count please ..... he he he he
