where is GG?

The Governor General has the power to straighten out Morrison, over-ride any silly law and pull others in line. So where is he?

I seek him high, I seek him Low, yet he can not be found anywhere.

So 2 things come to mind - 1. he has done a bunk! or 2. Foul Play is at hand.

Yes he seems to be MIA  Beemee,  why the hell Morrison has not been sacked -- as he is also always MIA

Yep slow on the reply. AIR Con died so had to be replaced and OMG our electrician was an eye opener, his whole family have had serious side effects from the jab, but he is okay? Weird.

Yes I think Scomo not acting fast enough has seen his days going like the setting of the sun, as he soon rides off in to the west. No loss either.

Is it me or is it fact, every PM and no matter the party, have gotten progressively worse at corruption, back door deals, non transparency? Oh forgot one - running away from the elephant in the room.

Yes, the GG, the representative of Australia's head of State, Queen Elizabeth, has been missing in action for quite some time. A role for Australia's HoS, which should be one of us, Australian, chosen by us is to be Chief Consoler, Chief Cheer Leader, Chief Morale Booster, Chief Breaker of Constitutional Deadlock, Chief Ribbon Cutter, Chief Award Giver. It seems like our PM has been trying to do this role through the pandemic, fires and floods and using them as photo opportunities. I would be prefer that our PM focus on policy and delivery of same.

Who IS the G.G?  I haven't even seen or heard of him/her in any press or TV for some time. I suggest that we invite Prince William, Prince Harry or even the naughty Prince to be our Governor-General. At least he would be an independent person free from control of the Government.

Who IS the G.G?

General David John Hurley, AC, DSC, FTSE is an Australian former senior officer in the Australian Army who has served as the 27th governor-general of Australia since 1 July 2019. He was previously the 38th Governor of New South Wales, serving from 2014 to 2019.

Perhaps someone should have taken the time to check what powers a Governor General actually has before asking questions:

"The Governor-General's reserve powers are generally agreed to include: The power to appoint a Prime Minister if an election has not resulted in a clear outcome. The power to dismiss a Prime Minister if they have lost the support of the majority of members of the House of Representatives."

Well put Sue
