What are/were your lockdown survival tips?

With parts of the country going into lockdown, now may be the ideal time to share your lockdown survival tips.

Do you go into the garden to do some pruning, clearing or planting, or spend time pruning or preening yourself, with at-home beauty treaments, long soaks, manicures or pedicures? Do you spend more time talking to family, dive into an online short course, read, write or watch TV? What got you through your last lockdown? What's the best lockdown tip you've heard?

Why not share them with our members?

My lockdown tip: I found a great website called domestika.org which has hundreds of amazing short courses. I'm trying to work on my creative outlets and the courses I've done so far have helped me do just that! And I find time flies while I'm engrossed in these courses and they're a lot of fun, too.

There is always something to do,  I have never been bored in my life

Ditto...

When you have a garden and lots of books, who can be bored!

I, too, have a plethora of activities to keep my occupied. I can't remember the last time I was bored, either. If in doubt, there are always hundreds of books on my shelves!

PlanB - I'm the same, I never seem to get bored living alone. My sister in Melbourne sent a text asking how I'm doing?. She gives me a running commentary on  the Virus. I'm in the process of sorting through old photos, oh dear have I got a lot of them, mostly stored in boxes. I'm only keeping photos of the boys as youngsters and some of my Mum and Dad and sisters. The rest will go into to bin as nobody in my family would know who these people are. There comes a time when we have to say goodbye, but never forgotten.

I know what you mean HOLA --I have a lot of stuff -- rather interesting but I am a sentimental old duck and hate to throw things out that I have loved

We always have the Meeting Place to come and have a chat :)

Ha! Love it. You'll be seeing more of me on the forums. Hopefully conversation starters like this lead to constructive, instructive and helpful discussions.

After I sorted the house for the 10th time, I thought it was time to try something new! It's worth looking at courses on line. I've done an art course and looking to sign up for a cooking one too.

We might get to see you on MasterChef :)

Domestika is a great source of affordable courses led by reputable types. I've also heard SkillShare is good, and I have lifetime access to Shaw Academy, which has courses for arts, music, tech/computer and heaps more.

YLC Sudoku is a great game to play  ...result of my last game :)

Might add it is my best score yet.

Well done Suze!!

Yep, well done! What do you think of the new YLC games?

Never been into games -- in fact, I have even ever played cards
