Wake Up And Smell The Roses

Where has all the fun gone from this site.
Social networking is supposed to have a positive side to it, this seems to be temporarily lost here. There is no pleasure in being part of a group who constantly nitpick at other members.
To read here the impression is of a group of unhappy seniors, sadly they seem to enjoy being miserable.
There is an old saying "Wake Up And Smell The Roses"

You're right Jaxx, politics is too serious a subject, we need to lighten up a bit but for the life of me, I can't think of anything very funny, the papers are full of gloom and doom. But there were 300,000 happy people at the Sydney Gay Mardi Gras last night. We had floats from the NSW Police, Ambulance Service, Fire Brigade, Surf Life Saving and even the Australian Defence Force. Now that's worth a laugh isn't it, gay soldiers and police proudly marching in a gay parade?

The reason there are no women football leagues is that 11 of them would never wear the same outfit in public.

Photos of me don't do me justice. They just look like me.

The best way to get rid of kitchen odors is to eat out.

Robert Redford once asked me out.. I was in his room.

Oh come now Jaxx are you serious? I think there are ample discussion threads in here from politics, current affairs to swapping recipes etc. If you dont like the serious discussion why not give the topic a miss. I think this is a great site where 'seniors' can discuss their concerns where this country is heading for their children/grandchildren, and what currently affects our standard of living. Same as the topics on talk-back radio only in text. Sure, it can get a bit willing at times but its good stimulation for the mind as any debate is, and pretty harmless.

There are a few other sites that have games, puzzles and stuff I wouldn't waste my time with because I find them boring and about as stimulating as watching paint dry.

This complaint pops up from time to time, and puzzles me.

There are eleven forum headings from which to choose, ranging from the more serious topics under hot topics.... to travel, recipes, wellbeing, personals and so on. There is a thread under General Discussion, which has pages and pages of humour...rarely visited except by a few.

There's a forum for helpful hints, which I find interesting.

For example , I'm not a traveller, so rarely look at the TRAVELLERS' CORNER.

Maybe if you do a wider exploration of the the forums, you might find something of interest.

There is a wide choice, and Hot Topics is only one of the many.

I give up, there is nothing in the other topics, there is no happiness to spread around here so spread your depression folks and enjoy.

Oh come on Jaxx, there are heaps of conspiracies here, in fact some of them are invented here.

What more do you want ?

And you can always get a laugh, not only at the jokes but also at some of the posters.

:) Enjoy today is the best idea, you never know.

Has anyone watched "One Foot In The Grave" it is a British comedy about a miserable, whingeing old codger.

But, it also happens to be funny, more than I can say for some of these old codgers.

Hi thanks for your posting. Its a nice idea that taking the smell of rose after wake up. All kind of flowers are fresh and normally well scented. And we all like actually good smell. So if there is some fresh roses in front of you. Then you will obviously take the smell of it. And if you get it after wake up from sleep. Then I think your whole day will be good like fresh.

No, but I 'm still looking for something pleasant or funny on here,

Gee it's hard work.

There are plenty of forums that have inane and boring stuff on them--many that I no longer waste my time on--at least here you aare able to have an interesting debate

I don't call being pleasant and happy as a waste of time, I call it time well spent.

We are submerged in bad and sad news on a daily basis, is a little smile too much to ask for I wonder.

:))) No not at all--I find quiite a ot of things thoughout my days to smile about--but good also to be able to debater other things as well
