WA beer takes gold in international awards

West Australian brewer Whitelakes Brewing has been awarded gold at the Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA).

The AIBA is the largest annual beer competition in the world. This year judges assessed over 2600 entries in draught and packaged beer categories.

Whitelakes Brewing received seven awards for numerous lagers in their range. Notably, their famed Summer Ale was awarded gold for the category of ‘English Summer’ (Best British and European Style Ale) for 2021.

Dingo Lager, which is brewed at Whitelakes Brewing’s Baldivis brewery, was also presented with two silver awards.

Speaking to the recent achievement Sean Symons, head brewer at Whitelakes Brewing and Dingo Brewing Co., said "To pick up medals at such a prestigious award ceremony is a huge achievement, especially as we were competing against the best of the best worldwide! We see these awards as a yardstick which measures how we're performing and to affirm that we're producing great quality beers."

Have you ever tried a Dingo Lager? How do you rate it? What is your favourite beer?

Well done boys, a boost for WA.  Have never tried your brews, did not even know you existed but will for sure give them a go.
