Scientists are working to develop COVID-19 vaccines that:
• provide more robust protection against new variants and sub-variants
• offer longer lasting protection
• provide similar levels of protection from a single dose
• deliver a strong response from lower doses of active ingredient
• don't require freezing or refrigeration, and/or have an extended shelf life
• offer different routes of administration, e.g. patches or nasal vaccination via breathing in.
Instead, COVID figures in Western Australia will be published once a week on Fridays.
The approach is being adopted nationally and was decided at a meeting of health ministers last week.

In view that research shows that the efficacy wanes after 4 months, Christmas, I cannot understand why Booy would be recommending to wait until March or April.
Surely the vulnerable should be able to receive the bivalent booster after 4 months and not wait till next year, especially with the virus continually mutating.
