• 32 new from 52,048 tests, 30 locally acquired, 2 returned OS travellers in hotel quarantine. 
• 79 cases being treated by NSW Health, 1 in ICU.
• Of the 30 locally acquired cases, all are linked to the Bondi cluster and 11 of those were already in isolation throughout their infectious period.
• Anyone who returned from the NT Granite gold mine to immediately isolate with their family and get tested urgently. A positive miner case in the Hunter New England region has been in isolation and poses no community threat. 
• Two events have required police intervention, a crowding melee at a shopping centre and a cafe owner in the Illawarra who refused to wear a mask. Fines issued. A family who broke Sydney quarantine rules to attend a children's sporting event in the Hunter region have also been fined.

• Of the 18 new locally acquired cases recorded to 8pm last night, six were in isolation throughout their infectious periods. A further three cases were in isolation for part of their infectious periods. An additional two South Coogee Public School students have tested positive to COVID-19 bringing the school total to 4. Five new cases are linked to the Great Ocean Foods seafood wholesaler in Marrickville. This brings the total number of cases acquired through Great Ocean Foods including contacts of workers there, to 16. Two new cases are linked to the West Hoxton birthday party. This brings the total number of cases acquired through the birthday party to 31. A miner in his 30s from the NT Granites gold mine has remained in isolation since his return with no risk to the community.
• There have been 130 locally acquired cases reported since June 16, when the first case of the Bondi cluster, a driver who transported international flight crew, was reported.

• 17 of the 19 new locally acquired cases are linked to known clusters with 2 under investigation and 7 of the cases were in isolation for their infectious period. One of the cases under investigation lives within the eastern suburbs, and the other works there.
• CHO Kerry Chant said, "At the moment we are still seeing some cases that were potentially infectious in the community but what we're hoping is because of the lock down, the number of interactions those cases have had, where there is the potential for transmitting the virus, would have decreased significantly."
• The number of people linked to the 40 people West Hoxton birthday party has grown to 34, with seven more infections among their close contacts. Six of the partygoers who were fully vaccinated and one who was partially vaccinated have all so far returned negative test results.

Locations include the Prince Charles Hospital Brisbane, Sandgate Woolies, The Bay Health Gym, a flight from Brisbane to Townsville, Magnetic Island, Townsville Sunday markets, flight from Townsville back to Brisbane. Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says, “Despite the health directives that she should have been vaccinated, she was not. Let me say, I am absolutely furious about this.”

The 19-year-old woman who has been infectious in the Queensland community for 10 days before testing positive to COVID-19 has been confirmed as having the Delta variant. The woman worked outside the COVID-19 ward at Brisbane's Prince Charles Hospital and was not vaccinated.

— 5200 ... "employment"
— 2226 ... “business, conferences or exhibitions”
— 533  ... "education"
The data does not include travellers entering under the travel bubble with New Zealand, which accounted for many of the 53,872 arrivals recorded in April.

• 40 new from 56,331 tests, 35 locally acquired, 5 returned OS travellers in hotel quarantine. 
• 109 cases being treated by NSW Health, 5 in ICU, 0 ventilated.
• 261 locally acquired cases reported since 16 June 2021, 207 directly linked to Bondi cluster.
• Of the 35 new local cases, 29 are linked to previously confirmed cases including 14 household contacts and 6 are under investigation. 23 were in isolation throughout their infectious periods, 3 cases were in isolation for part of their infectious periods and 9 were infectious in the community. 
• Messages: Residents urged to stay home and exercise only in the outdoors at a safe social distance, also asked to avoid shopping centres or indoor areas.
• CHO Dr Kerry Chant said the number of people moving throughout the community during their infectious periods would need to drop for lockdown restrictions to be lifted as planned next Friday.
• NSW Health Minister has warned "wacko views" leading people to flout health orders was putting the state's COVID-19 recovery at risk.

• Of the 16 new local cases, 13 were in isolation while infectious and 14 are linked to previously confirmed cases. Premier says is that transmission is now occurring mainly within households, so 'Stay home means stay home'.
• 3 aged care residents have tested positive at the Summit Aged Care home in Baulkham Hills, one woman and two men. They were fully vaccinated but have been transferred to hospital as a precaution, all are reportedly asymptomatic and in good spirits.
• Greater Sydney remains in lockdown.

Australia wide — 39 new locally acquired cases, 8 new OS acquired cases.

NEW SOUTH WALES
• 37 new from 58,373 tests, 35 locally acquired, 2 returned OS travellers in hotel quarantine.
• 226 cases being treated by NSW Health, 5 in ICU, 0 ventilated.
• Of the new 35 cases, 24 were in isolation for the entire period, 7 were in the community while infectious. 33 cases are linked to a known case or cluster and 20 of these are household contacts. Again, highlighting the risk within households.
• 2 further cases at the Summit Care aged care home Baulkham Hills, bringing the total number of residents infected to five. All are resting comfortably in hospital. Two nurses at the centre have also tested positive. Two-thirds of staff at the centre are not vaccinated but 96% of residents are.
• More passengers have tested positive since travelling on Virgin flight VA524 from the Gold Coast to Sydney on June 26. Anyone on the flight is considered a close contact.
• All guests, staff and contractors on any level of the Meriton Suites at Waterloo between 7pm 26 June to 8am July 5 to immediately get tested and isolate after an illegal party that has led to at least 3 new cases.

• A total of 23 cases are related to the Portuguese restaurant and the Greek community centre.

• Of the 18 new cases: 11 were completely in isolation, 5 were partially in isolation and 2 were infectious in the community. 16 are linked to known cases/clusters with 9 household contacts, 2 remain under investigation.
• Following the party at the Meriton Suites Waterloo on Saturday 26 June there have 7 guests who tested positive plus 5 positive household contacts. Everyone connected with the building now in isolation.
• 1 further case linked to Summit Aged Care, a nurse already in isolation.

• The new case is a close contact of the man reported yesterday from Sinnamon Park. She is an asymptomatic student nurse not believed to have worked while infectious and believed to be low risk, investigations continue.
• There will be extra Pfizer doses coming in July at the rate of 64,350 per week. There are almost 230,000 people booked in for vaccines already with 140,000 people who have registered an interest. Those bookings will be for October on, based on vaccine supplies.

• There have been 357 locally acquired cases reported since 16 June 2021.
• 14 people currently in hospital are under the age of 55 with 8 under 35.
• Only 13/27 of the new cases were in isolation during their full infectious period. 18 are linked to a known case, 11 are close contacts, 7 are household contacts of previously confirmed cases, 9 are under investigation. Household transmission is high.
• Concern for higher case numbers in the Fairfield, Canterbury-Bankstown and Liverpool areas.
• Greater Sydney's lockdown extended for seven days.
• More restrictions have also been flagged, such as limiting movement in key suburbs; outdoor exercising limits and travel zones.

It would be interesting to know if any of those people were vaccinated or semi vaccinated? Wonder why they don't give us that information?

Gladys made such a huge mistake locking Sydney down too late - she was too smug to do the right thing at the time. Believed NSW was handling the virus so well - better than all the other States - believed it was not necessary to lock down with few cases. So stupid! and too late now. This virus is off and away in NSW and it will not be tamed easily. Won't be long before it is in the regions and everywhere in this State.

Australia wide — 40 new locally acquired cases, 4 new OS acquired case.

NEW SOUTH WALES
• 39 new from 39,733 tests, 38 locally acquired, 1 returned OS traveller in hotel quarantine.
• Over 400 active cases, 40 in hospital, 11 in ICU, 3 ventilated.
• Of the new locally acquired cases, 26 are linked to a known case or cluster, 13 are household contacts and 13 are close contacts, 12 cases remain under investigation. 18 have been in isolation while 11 have been in the community while infectious.
• Hospitalisations include 17 people aged under 55 and 10 under 35. The 11 people in ICU include 1 in their 30s, 1 in their 50s/60s and 4 in their 70s.
There have been 396 locally acquired cases reported since 16 June 2021.
• Areas of most concern are in the Fairfield LGA and include Greenacre, Smithfield, West Hoxton Park, Bankstown and Roselands.
• Premier Gladys Berejiklian has hinted that lockdown might not end next Friday has pleaded with people to stop visiting extended family, and to limit compassionate care visits to a single person.
• NSW Police ramping up presence in south-west Sydney to enforce public health orders.

• Both new locally acquired cases are related to a previous Carindale case. They have been in home quarantine during their infectious period and pose no threat to the community.
• Ten staff at Sunshine Coast Hospital have been praised for risking their own safety to save the life of a COVID-19 patient who went into anaphylactic shock after having a scan. Although staff were vaccinated and wearing PPE they felt their PPE may have been compromised because they were in such a rush to help the patient. The staff are spending 14 days in home quarantine out of an abundance of caution. The patient no longer requires ICU.
• Queensland check-in app becomes mandatory at 1:00am tomorrow.
