A popular brand of supplement gummies has been urgently recalled due to a potentially dangerous mould growth.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has issued the recall for Swisse Beauty Collagen Glow Gummies.

The mould identified is Aspergillus Penicillioides.

While there was 'minimal risk to the general population', the TGA said there was a “remote risk that individuals who are immunocompromised could suffer an adverse reaction if they consume” them.

The batch affected is Swisse product SKU 01-391-00001, batch number 106188, manufactured on 9 June 2021, expires in June 2023.

A TGA spokesperson said the batch was sold at 15 different distributors across Australia.

“(The distributors) include major grocery and pharmacy chains and online shopping services,” the spokesperson said.
