Urgent recall for pasta sauce

A popular pasta sauce has been pulled from supermarket shelves, but there is an urgent recall for anyone who may have already bought the item.

There are concerns the product could contain plastic and metal fragments.

Food Standards Australia (FSA) says Leggo’s Fresh Napoli Sauce with Tomato, Garlic, Basil and Oregano with the use-by date of 2 October 2021 should not be consumed and returned to the Woolworths store it was purchased from for a full refund.

FSA said the recall was due to the "potential presence of foreign matter (metal and plastic)", adding: "Food products containing metal and plastic may cause illness/injury if consumed."
