TRIVIA

Did anyone watch "The Vicar of Dibley"? I loved that show. I was listening to the radio today and the tune "Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter" by Herman's Hermits came up, and the announcer said it was written by Trevor Peacock who played the bumbling Jim Trott in the popular show. Apparently he had written many songs for different shows. On reading about the cast members of the show, six of the eight members have sadly passed away.

That was such a funny show - I still watch re-runs on YouTube.

That's sad. I used to really enjoy The Vicar of Dibley.

Trevor Peacock was very versatile ... an English actor, screenwriter and songwriter. He made his name as a theatre actor, later becoming known for his Shakespearean roles.

He was diagnosed with dementia in 2009, and it was reported in 2018 that he was in the advanced stages of the disease, had retired from acting and was living in a nursing home in Yeovil, Somerset. His last role was in the 2015 Vicar of Dibley Comic Relief Special. He died on the morning of 8 March 2021, at the age of 89.
