I got my CRN today and am about to start filling out my pension claim online. Can I go on holiday OS while waiting for Aged Pension assessment processing? I hear these things can take months.

MrTea,  I went overseas to visit family while waiting for mine.  Went into Centrelink to let them know how long I would be away, also to check that they had an email address to contact me if necessary while away and had no problems.  
On returning went in again to check how things were going, still in limbo, it still took about 3 months longer before my pension came through.

Thanks jaycee1. I asked Centrelink and they told me I had to be in Australia during the assessment process, which seems unnecessarily restrictive to me. How long was the total time you waited?

 

Did you have any complications? Mine is that I have been sending money overseas for about 18 months using Transferwise. I'm going to take screenshots of the listed payments, but I'm not sure if it will satisfy them.

 

Also, I've finished the online claim, but I don't know what documents to upload. They don't actually specify.
