tomatoes

Last year in winter i went to woolies and brought some cocktail tomatoes.took them home and ate the fruit but kept some seeds.  I planted them this spring and now have the best lot of tomatoes i have ever grown. They are a little biger than a golf ball.  So just goes to show you dont need to spend money on plants from the garden centre. cheers.

Hi Johnboy.

Yes I have done that before now, even next door threw some little ones over the fence and we had a nice crop of them, but we here in our area of WA seem to need to spray too much to keep the bugs away sadly.

I find when I grow them I have too many at once.

By the way there is a Garden Thread you may like to use.

Thanks for sharing you knowledge of the toms.

Thank you Celia.

Hi Johnboy, did you find that Thread that I sent this email to help you the other day please?

Because I cannot find it myself now!    It has my gardening things in it including photos but it seems to have vanished?

Thanks for the tip John

I find the really small cocktail tomatoes ripen even in our winter ... our winter are mild being  on coastal area of NSW.
