Today

We are off to the Sale outdoor market as want to get there early and grab those bargains......

Going to buy 20 beautiful Pelargoniums IF the bloke sells them each year is there.

Anyway going to have a lovely day as just love outdoor markets and especially the Sale one.
We love where we live close to all the shops and a fast train to almost everywhere but still miss beautiful Loch Sport/Ninety Mile beach with all the wildlife and beautiful sea and sand stretching for 90 miles lol. Everywhere has it's beauty but have to admit that area is breathtaking especially when watching the surf and high up looking over and hearing the waves crash and the surf fishermen - just the sheer joy and excitement of nature at it's best.

Sundays are wonderful but so are Mondays and Tuesdays and and ouch please not eggs :(

Have a lovely day folks and I will bring you all back some made fudge from a lady makes the absolute best and a very clean lady so I will eat what she prepares.

Hope folks have a lovely Sunday and if going to a Market hope you bring home great goodies.
Oh and going to buy some sandles at Rivers - Now they have great good brand ladies sandles for sale today very cheap.
Aint life grand..................................Phyl.

Have a good day Phyl - haven't heard of your shopping adventures for a while. Hope you get your pelargoniums. They're such easy plants to look after.

Hi Phyl,

Your post is refreshing after all the stuff about corrupt governments, complaints about money we get for pensions etc.

Some of the greatest things in life are free and you have shown us that.

We do live in a lucky country and to be able to appreciate the scenery, the wildlife, the ocean and nature in general is something special and is FREE.

I hope you have a wonderful day Phyl :)

Gerry

Well done Phyl ..........and as Gerry says you make us feel so young again ................

Thank ya kindly folks.

We had a lovely day. We found the man selling Pelargoniums (this is all he sells) and at just $4 each (small pot but still great) we were excited to choose different ones and me being me said "is there any special for buying 20 please" (I expected maybe one free one BUT he said "yes you can have them for $3 each. "Thank you" said I :) very happy with that.

We have burgandy ones and white ones and pink ones and red ones with all having another colour or edging making them very special.

Peter and I had our older but big solid brick home and really lovely (suits us and that is all we have to worry about) rendered and we have both painted it with two coats of cream paint, a new kitchen (most parts of it new) and one of the bathrooms along with a floating floor in our big rumpus room ( Peter and I watch tele. and have our computer in here and we love it) along with new Vertical blinds and a great joy to me a huge crack fixed up in the big concrete driveway and Peter painted it all with paving paint (couple of coats) and a few things we wanted done around the place. and we are very happy with it. Big home for just us two but we just shut all the doors of rooms we do not use but they are there if we want to use them so we are happy. having had 5 kids once at home we are used to a large place and we pay no more rates for this as a small home. Anyway we make our skim milk x 2 litres every day and this pays our rates with the savings we make on not buying Rev. :) Yes we do drink a lot of skim milk and we do have good bones.

Have a heart specialist appointment in Traralgon tomorrow so will go check those ladies sandles out a Rivers tomorrow.

Hope everyone had a lovely day (sad we never get this day back) but we made the most of it and looking forward to tomorrow.

All the best

Phyl.

I believe whatever makes people happy and hurts nobody is the go.

Thank ya kindly folks.

You drive a hard bargain Phyl :)

How are up your little ones, the cats, going? Have you solved the window scratching problems?

I did feel just a tad guilty for a couple of minutes Gerry but then I realised I did not ask for them @ $3 each but it certainly was a nice bargain.

......................

Bev. as our two babies are very intelligent I explained the situation re our window tinting and they do seem to underconstumble they are not allowed to scratch it.

Our two not very old leather recliners will have all their nail holes matching soon and Peter and I will be sitting on leatherless recliners soon. I had friends visit today actually and they had seen our two recliners come into our room we use just a short time ago looking pristine and lovely when new BUT today? nah they are covered in pin holes courtesy of Espresso and Vienna.

In the words of Con the Fruiterer "Dos'n matter."

How are you going with your Broadband? any news yet? I am sure you are happy to have a computer and "dial-up" was a miracle not too many years ago. Wasn't computer time expensive a few years back. We were paying $60 a week around 10 years ago and there was no "by the year"

We have wireless and it is good but dial-up was a miracle also - almost like the wheel or sliced bread. I still hve 4 very good friends will not contemplate computers - they make me annoyed lol as only 60+ ages so no excuses they could not get "with it".

We have been at the hospital for hours today as Peter had a random blood test for circulation and one came back positive for a clot in the lung (really terrifyng day) He has been working like a navvy. too so I am feeling guilty. Hope good news in the morn. all is o.k.

Every day sure is a gift as we never know when it will be time to leave do we.......

All the best

Phyl.

How did it go with Peter's blood test? Hope the news was good today. I'm moving house, but I will still have to get the satellite, just maybe, a little bit longer than I thought it would be. I understand about the leather recliners, my dog, when she was a pup, managed to eat one right down to and including the wood. Leather is just such a good feel! I've got friends too, who just say that they can't do the computer thing, but then, there's the one I've convinced that it is good and fun, and I get at least 3 e-mails a day from her. She's hooked now. Back to the packing - it's amazing how much you accumulate after only 15 years!.

How is your move going Bev?

Is your dog going to enjoy your move? As long as she has you I am sure she will be fine.

Thanks for asking - Peter has heaps of tests in the next weeks so please God he will be o.k.

We went to Bunnings today after our very wet Sunday Market excursion and bought every Gazania they had (actually 15 and went back for another 12 (the last they had) and they are just lovely @ $2 a little pot we could not believe our luck. We have tall Castawellan trees around the house in big pots and we have put the little coloured pots around the roots of the trees and they look like Christmas trees. We will eventually put them in bigger pots of course but just for now they are a real joy.

The rain has been wonderful and the whole garden is smiling as we are.

All the best

Phyl.
