Those Hats!!!

the chaser program on the royal wedding was cancelled, but we don't need a chaser program - princesses eugenie and beatrice have already done the skit.

eugenie's reindeer horn hat was like a cheap prop out of 'dr who' tv series, and as for beatrice's little blue number, well, to me that resembled an intimate part of a woman's endowment - not usually coloured blue and not usually with a bunch of feathers in it!

those two gals looked like a couple of cheap hookers who had been hired for the occasion. perhaps its a sign of the uk's austerity measures?

although i had vowed not to watch it, i must admit that i did get sucked in, and was absolutely fascinated by the hats. even our julia had a rather funky one.

what do others think about the many weird and wonderful hats at the wedding?

I didn't watch the wedding as fortunately there was a football match which appealed to me much more.

However I was bombarded with multiple repeats every time I switched on the news - there was no escape short of not watching tv at all.

I must admit I never noticed any hats as I really could not care whether they wore hats or not.

Will the media tire of this sideshow soon ? I certainly hope so.

geezeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

I find that hooker comment very harsh and cruel, and the comment about the womens endowment very crude. Surely these girls have had to deal with a lot of humiliation already in their young lives with a far from perfect role model, Obviously they got it wrong but one cant be perfect all the time. Some of the hats were stunning some definately not, I would just like to know how they managed to keep them on especialy the ones perched on their foreheadswith no visable support [glue perhaps].wobbly.

Everybody's tastes are different. I agree fantastic all the ladies/girls

managed to keep their hats on.

..

So some ladies wore hats bordering on "not to a lot of people's ideas"

but also a lot wore very safe ordinary hats which also came in for

criticism. Nobody killed or even hurt anyone wearing any one of the hats

did they, and if Eugene and Beatrice chose their hats because they liked them

good on them.

..

I was a slightly bit more surprised with those in High Places wearing no hat

on such a big day but concede not for me to say as they can do whatever they want.

...

sob sob sob it will all be over soon but hey not quite yet ;-)

Seggie. Here goes. I loved the wedding. So there! I admit to being a romantic at heart but let me tell you who scoff at such delights, I've experienced much love and much sadness in my long life. Now it's up to others to entertain me and the wedding did entertain me and yes, I admit I used a few tissues. Those who prefer the football and watched it, good on you. Each to their own. As for those hats, oh dear. I wonder did they do it to obtain attention? If so, they certainly got it but hasn't it given us something to chat about? Whoever remarked that Charles and Di's wedding wasn't good. We all know why he married her. Poor love. Most of us get married wearing rose coloured glasses as maybe she did too but then, our lives don't always work out as we hoped. We make the best of what we have. From what I see, rarely do two people love each other the same way. There is usually one who loves more. One learns and if they don't, eat more chocolates is the only way to go. OK. I'm being silly but it's May and as Phyl.said, a new month, winter approaching, plants dormant and suddenly it will be Spring. Wow! You'd all better be careful.

Glad you are a romantic Seggie , I also realy enjoyed watching the wedding. I think you are right re love, I hope their marriage will be long and very happy,I think that given the lessons of the past just maybe they have a chance.I am dreading winter and wish i could be a bird that migrates north till spring.Have a lovely day Seggie.Wobbly

Yeah well Seggie we think our young blokes are just

wonderful but when we get married we find they have

all kinds of strange habits we have to learn to live with

..

Back to hats I wonder does anyone else remember the hat

place down below near Flinders St. Station in Melbourne?

Is it still there? probably not.

i love your comment, elderwoman. yes, those two gals did look like a couple of tarts.

one hat looked like a uterus and the other like a blue vagina, with a bunch of feathers in it! perhaps these young woman belong to a new cult of some sort?

did anyone else notice how similar princess beatrice looks to monica lewinsky?

You sound very much like you would fit in very well - long ago lol

with Monica Lewinsky kika

especially your vulgar choice of terms depicting

young girls fashion sense.

You are good for a laugh though as most of your writings

are even more bizarre than this one.

thanks for your comments yaretzi. however, i was being rather conservative. i could have used far more vulgar terms than uterus and vagina.

do you have some sort of hang-up about this? what words would you have used?

I would have said, they look like funny hats.

But then I am not into ladies hats :)

Why do you need to speak like this on a forum Kika?

Certainly no class whatsoever.

What does Drew think of private body parts being used to

describe young Royal Ladies on a forum?

i described the gal's HATS using what you blushingly call "private body parts".

come out of the victorian age, brianna.

there is nothing shameful about vaginas and uteruses - the places where the miracle of birth occurs.
