Queen is spotted driving around Wood Farm during an unannounced long-weekend visit to Sandringham | Daily Mail Online

Earlier this month the Queen attended the Royal Windsor Horse Show, which is now in its 77th year and attracts well-heeled visitors from all over the world.

Her Mahjesty returned from a Royal Week in Scotland to attend the horse show, which is thought to be one of her favourite equestrian events of the year, after joining her daughter Princess Anne, 70, at the University of Edinburgh.

Wood Farm, located on a secluded part of the Sandringham estate that looks out over the sea, is where the Queen went with Prince Philip and their children to relax for more than 50 years.

The Duke of Edinburgh spent much of his time at Wood Farm after retiring from public duties in August 2017.

Gosh 8years old it doesn't seem possible.Gorgeous George! Adorable future king sports £10 John Lewis polo shirt as he poses on a Land Rover Defender in a sweet tribute to Prince Philip in new birthday photo taken by Kate MiddletonPrince George sports £10 John Lewis shirt as he poses on a Landrover Defender in tribute

A new photo of Prince George (centre) to mark his eighth birthday shows him sitting on an off-road vehicle synonymous with his great-grandfather the Duke of Edinburgh (right). The snap was taken by proud mother Kate Middleton, 39, at their Amner Hall home in Norfolk and shows the future king perched on the bonnet of a Land Rover Defender. Philip, who died in April a few months short of his 100th birthday, regularly drove Land Rovers and during his funeral the duke's coffin was carried by a specially adapted defender which he helped design (inset)Including the famous vehicle in the image will be seen as a poignant tribute to the late duke, who had a passion for engineering. George, who celebrates his birthday on Thursday, is pictured beaming in the photograph, and is casually dressed in a £10 John Lewis polo-style striped top and shorts. The duchess is a keen photographer and regularly produces images of George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to mark milestones in her children's lives.

Lovely photo.

Prince George is growing into a lovely young man.

Yes and he is so tall for his age.  I think he will be a latter than his father who is 6'3" I was thinking he was taller but that is what the reports say, and Harry is an inch shorter than his brother.

I've always thought she was a lovely woman. Had to put up with a lot of nasty reports for the general public.

Have to agree Hola, not only that her children must put up with a lot too, and they seem to get on with their step father quite well.  The funny thing is her ex was a boy friend of Princess Anne years ago. They all socialize still tool, you often see them together in the British social columns.

IAN GALLAGHER speaks to Elizabeth Emanuel about the Royal ceremony to outdazzle them all

A well-spoken young woman was on the line asking if she could book an appointment for that afternoon. Elizabeth took her details, absently writing down the name 'Debra' by mistake. It was an error that became apparent when, at the agreed time of 2.30pm, the woman was buzzed through the front door, climbed the stairs and stepped into the tiny first-floor showroom, smiling bashfully from under her fringe. It was Lady Diana Spencer, (right) the 19-year-old tipped to be the next Queen of England. 'I couldn't believe it,' recalls Elizabeth today. 'Diana, wearing the full skirt, cardigan, pearls - that Sloane Ranger look - standing in front of me. It was as if a photograph had come to life.' Although she made no mention of weddings that day - February 8, 1981 - Diana was certainly interested in Emanuel dresses. There was a buzz about Elizabeth and her husband David, a young couple only a few years out of art school but already dressing celebrities, including Bianca Jagger, who wore one of their gowns at Studio 54, the legendary New York nightclub. (Pictured left, the legendary dress on Diana's wedding day, inset, Princess Diana looking at fabrics and dress designs.)

I thought that was the worst wedding dress I'd ever seen. All that material swamped her , it should have been plain and elegant, which showed off her slim figure.

She suferred from eating disorder bulimia

The bulimia nervosa gave the slim waistline which eventually ruined her marriage.

I thought she suffered that later in her life Suzu, when she had to get out to meet the public she became nervous, like having to give talks.  Something she didn't think of before she said 'yes' to Charles.

I think the whole situation was wrong, Charles needed a more mature woman as his wife.

History!

Sounds like a dreadfully disrespectful show.

Sorry Celia, but after the way Prince Andrew has behaved, the think Americans don't think much of the Royal Family and who could blame them.

No need to be sorry Too that is your opinion and your entitled to it.
