The 'ancient' practice still used for these household bills
Technology has revolutionised businesses, households, travel, the world.
Yet ... we still have these employees walking the streets to provide the information for these household bills. They're the meter readers. And there's more than one of them - each acting independently and costing us money.
If you have gas, there is a gas meter reader, electricity but no smart meter, another meter reader, water - yet another meter reader.
My question is, why can't the billing periods be standardised and one meter reader do the lot? What do you think? Is this practice an unnecessarey waste of money?
