Supermarket to stock rapid antigen tests from Monday

Coles has announced it will stock rapid antigen COVID tests from next week.

The 15-minute result tests will be available across 700 stores nationwide – online and at the supermarket service desk.

Woolworths said it will also stock the home testing kits, firstly to states experiencing COVID outbreaks, from early November.

TGA-approved rapid antigen COVID tests will be allowed for at-home use in Australia from November 1.

Is this news to your ears? How do you think rapid antigen tests will affect 'COVID-normal' life?

Great news indeed but cannot help but wonder,

just how much the tests will cost and if they will be at least tax deductible

I read in the Sydney Morning Herald the tests will be available in packs of 2 or 5, the tests would costs between $10 - $30 each. I hope people don't become greedy and buy multiple packs and they run out of them in no time.

There are 6 brands 4 x Chinese or 1 x Korean 1 x US brand. I believe we also have an Australian made quicktests made in Southport Qld.. Are they being made available too? I prefer to buy Australian thx
