Spring - is springing

I know it is spring when the blue tongue lizards start breeding. It is unfortunate that they choose to breed on my driveway! I don't know how many times I've brought out the shovel and gently lifted them into the garden, just so that I can get my car out.

Oh well - I guess - "love is in the air"

You''ll have to redirect your driveway, Bevg, I think that's the fair thing to do.

Or sell the car Bev...............LOL

Spring is sprung,

the grass is riz,

I wonder where the birdies is?

The little birds is on the wing,

but that's absurd?

cos the wing is on the bird!

I miss so many things but especially the wildlife when we moved here from Loch Sport but

am still enjoying all the shops and other things we did not have but the sea and wildlife were

amazing at Loch Sport. We also had many Blue Tongue Lizards and Achidnas and heaps of

animals with the birdlife being superb albeit we have birds here in suburbia also so

we are glad there are some. We have 20 horses at our back fence and they come over

for a bit of carrot or apple and we enjoy this.

Walking in the early morning is just lovely seeing all the wattle and blossom and flowers

in their full beauty. The Daffodils are brilliant this year.

All the best

Phyl.

Spring can be dangerous!

Walking my dog the other day in the local park, a magpie swooped down and divebombed on to my poor little dog. She is a very small dog, and only a very thin coat of fur, so very little protection. She was stunned for a few minutes, but came good.

Anyway, I won't be going near that park for a while.

The mynah birds are very aggressive also. I have been divebombed by them a couple of times, stepping in or out of my front door. So now, I make sure I have something on my head.

I don't seem to have any problems with the magpies here - I've had Mumma maggie bring her babies to visit each year - right up onto my back verandah. I don't feed them, but they seem to know they're safe here.
