"Sometimes I think we are meant to meet up with somebody".

Whilst shopping in Myer before Christmas I was in the perfume dept. when one of the sales girls asked if she could help. I said yes and named a perfume I was interested in. She said they were out of stock and gave me her name. I said I had a granddaughter with the same name and then told her mine, she said she had an Aunt with the same name as mine. I said I would be back in the New Year and left the store. I went to Myer last week and asked for the same Sales Assistant. She remembered me and we had a nice chat. She said her baby was due in 8 weeks, a boy, when I asked her what was she calling him she said "D" and I was shocked as it was my youngest son's name. Too many co-incidences? I felt I had known her before as we got on so well.

:) What a lovely story Hola ... thanks for sharing.

Great story Hola

Thoroughly enjoyed it :)

Thanks people.

I am fascinated by coincidences.

The weirdest one in my life concerns the 1950’s horror movie Night of the Blood Beast which I saw in the 60’s.

Every family has its set of pet sayings and Blood Beast entered the family lexicon in for example we would say to the kids “Make sure you close the door properly, we don’t want the Blood Beast to get in”

Fast forward 20 years or so when I’m reading the TV guide and note to my astonishment that Night of the Blood Beast is showing tonight; lucky I noticed that I thought to myself, after a 20-year gap.

A while later the phone rings and it’s David my son who advises that he is at a friend’s place and when they entered the house he asked the boy “Make sure you close the door properly, we don’t want the Blood Beast to get in” then went on to advise that the boy wanted to know what’s a Blood Beast.

I advised David to tell the boy that the movie is on TV tonight.

So after a gap of 20 years; on the very day that the movie is showing on TV, it’s leading character is the subject of discussion; never having been discussed before.

<div>Wow Dougal, that is a fascinating story. Reading it made my skin all creepy. </div>

Hola that is a good story to be sure.

I have had that happened to me too, it is amazing this is such a small world.
