Thank you so very much. I am sure it will make a lot of difference to many posters.

thankyou admin,as phyl said,it will be very useful,

I need help with beating house bugs or whatever they call it.

You can't see it and I do keep my place clean etc. but put on jumper that's been sitting on a chair or something and start

scratching.

Old house with old carpets. Trying to find something not chemical or toxic but strong enough

to kill all the unseen biters. Thinking of bi-carb soda but don't know if strong enough.

Thought of vinegar but the house will smell.

Any ideas appreciated

mara

hello mara, has there ever been animals in the house because it could be fleas, they can be there years after animals have lived there,

when i was little many, many moons ago the house next door had bedbugs which used to come through the walls and get behind the wallpaper,i can't remember what was used to get rid of them though, btw bedbugs bite and they also keep breeding many years after,

sorry i couldn't be any help mara.

Thanks Wendy;

yes there's been a dog in the house before I moved in.

Thankfully the bugs are not in my mattrass. The house had been painted before i moved in

and i had the carpets shampood but as you said they can be in the walls, floorboards etc.

thats ok mara,i'm glad you didn't take offence because it certainly was't meant like that.

i have just emailed my brother in the uk to see if he knows of a solution for you

Hi Mara. We had tried numerous natural stuff in the garden but the rotten Harlequin Bugs were eating everything no matter what we sprayed including very heavy detergent and other natural things so in desperation Peter used Roder and now not one Harlequin Bug to be seen and the tomatoes are coming back.

You could try some Eucalyptus in the vinegar to offset the smell but if it was me I would hate bugs biting and breeding so I would leave the house for a couple of days and use one of those bombs and kill every pesky critter in the place then come home and air everything out with cross winds all through your home but hope someone has ideas to help in the way you are looking for. I can only say what I would do as I have no joy whatsoever with all the natural things I am told to try for many things especially with HRT :)

Good to hear from you - best of luck matey.....

Phyl.

I know you don't want anything toxic but some years ago when we were minding my parents in law's place while they were overseas the place was literally jumping with fleas as we opened the door. We borrowed some Pea beau (not sure of the spelling) spray from next door and shut up the house for a few hours and didn't have any more trouble.

Thank you all for your kind responses.

At times it is so bad i dilute some citric acid and rub it all over. Thank goodness it works.

But doing something more drastic like those sprays or the bomb makes all the sense.

Perhaps my children will shout me a cruise ***ha ha in any case just being out of the house for couple of days will do it.

I think grlick will fix it?? love garlick but????

You must have different kids to ours Mara lol lol lol A cruise Hey.

You lucky duck..................Did you ever find anyone to swop homes with for a break? it was you yes? no? I have got it wrong?

hi mara, well as i said before,i emailed my brother for a solution and back came a witty retort,

MOVE but thats his whacky sense of humor,

if your kids do send you on a cruise(in your dreams) tell them you don't want to travel alone and i will come with you, everything found mind you, lol,i'm sure they would agree to that, wouldn't they?

by the way, wheres clay!!!!!

Shall keep it in mind Wendy. Travelled to Qld twice and the accomodation was so expensive!!!

One motel had a $1 difference between a single or a double accommodation. Should have stopped someone on the street and halved the price?;)

Phyl, no that wasn't me but it is a good idea.

thanks mara,i went overseas and had to pay the supplement of a $1,000 for a sigle room, what a rip-off,

when i die i'm coming back as a rip-off merchant lol
