Scott Morrison threatens crackdown on secondary boycotts of mining companies

Magnificent grandstanding by the PM. There are currently perfectly adequate laws to deal with protesters.

He's signalling that he values companies and profit above all else. Part of a decent democracy is public protest, if protesters contravene the law the relevant authorities can deal with this

A PM should represent all of us equally, it’s just a bit sad that he is showing favour to one section of the country.

Perhaps he’d like to see new laws enacted in Hong Kong to deal more harshly with the pesky protesters there. I believe they have affected businesses.

Have a nice day my fellow freedom loving Australians.

I agree with NY19 & Mick as I live in a country that is run by a dictator Morrison is heading in the same direction it will take time but if you continually vote in the wrong people it will happen

"I live in a country that is run by a dictator "

Which country is that? some dictators are: Stalin, Mussolini, Sadam Hussein, Gaddifi - so which of those countries are you a citizen of?

I think any fool who glues themselves to a road should be left there.

Just put some locked gates around them, a couple of flashing lights at night, deny anyone from un-gluing them and let the kids throw peanuts (or rotten fruit) at them.

We need to be very alert with this government that cannot handle criticism and lacks the collective intelligence to address the concerns of its citizens of all walks of life, about climate change.

It happens, little by little, and before we know it, we are asking, why didn't we do something!!!!!

the truth from from the Australian public is a real concern,if there is nothing to hide why do it.

I agree with people protest. In a democratic society it's necessary. I do not encourage violence as we saw in Melbourne recently.

Yes, there are laws for disorderly behaviour, but no laws exist for the actions some of these protestors are taking. Maybe Scott Morrison has a point. He is also supported by Anthony Albanese on this.

Morrison is Joh Bjelke-Petersen reincarnated

I think Joh was regarded as a joke where Morrison is a dangerous hypocrital bastard who has ZERO empathy for this country or its inhabitants. Each time the swine opens his lying mouth I sense a smoke screen rather than get on with what he should be doing.
