SBS to launch 24-hour food channel

SBS will launch it's fourth free-to-air channel, decided entirely to celebrating cultural diversity through the love of food. The channel will run 24/7, exploring a variety of cultures in an attempt to increase viewing demographics to the network. “Food is one genre which has been very successful for us. Now is the right time for us to do this," said Managing Director Michael Ebeid. SBS reaches 175 countries, and will boost the number of hours of content by 2,500 each year. The new channel will become available later this year.

Will you watch SBS's new food channel?

I sure will.  I love finding recipes for different cuisines.

Better than watching these "encores" they keep keep having on other stations.

Agree Radish.  Most stuff on TV these days is either sport or programmes that have been on other stations, so are all repeats,  Even the movies are just repeats of old ones which have been shown many times before.

Why do the taxpayers fund SBS it is totally uneeded and the money is better spent on our pensioners ...
