Research reveals surprising pandemic trends

The HealthyLife Living Healthy Report revealed mixed results when it comes to movement, energy levels and mental health.

More people working from home may have had a positive impact on physical activity, with 33 per cent of Australians saying they are now moving more by exercising at home and doing more online fitness classes, compared with two years ago.

However, a third of Australians are not doing any muscle strengthening activity.

Fifty-eight per cent of Australians say their quality of sleep is average or poor, and 39 per cent say anxiety is affecting their sleep quality.

One in four believe the pandemic has deteriorated their mental health. Watching television is the most common strategy used to maintain mental health.

On a positive note, 28 per cent of people feel they have become more resilient since the pandemic and more families (35 per cent) said that their resilience had improved since pre COVID-19.

HealthyLife has recently launched Ways to Well to help Australians make small, achievable changes to their lifestyles.

The wellness hub has also introduced complimentary practitioner consultations, providing customers with accessible and trusted health advice.

Are you moving more or less since the pandemic? Have your choices been healthier or more unhealthy? Is this wellness hub something you would check out? If so, let us know your thoughts!
