Dear +++++

Thank you for your email dated 23 May 2010, regarding the Australian
Government Deposit Guarantee.

As this facility is not a secure medium and available for general
guidance only, I am unable to access your files or act on specific
requests via email.

On 31 March 2010, the Guarantee Scheme for Large Deposits (over one
million dollars) and Wholesale Funding (Guarantee Scheme) closed to new
guaranteed liabilities.

The Financial Claims Scheme will remain in effect and is not affected by
the closure of the Guarantee Scheme.

Any customers who have deposits of total value of less than $1million
that these funds will continue to be guaranteed for free.

More information can be found on the following government website:

Or on ANZ.com:

For general information, ANZ Customer Service can be contacted on 13 13

I hope this information assists.

Your Enquiry: I was wondering how long the Government guarantee stands
for bank accounts--how long does it go for?

Thanks
