I find when renovating I need to plan what I am going to renovate, plan what I will do myself and plan what I'll get tradesmen to do.

I can't renovate - even if I want to. I live in what they call "social housing". I'm hard pressed to have necessary repairs done, let alone anything else. Been waiting a week for a plumber. Oh well, at least I don't pay the rates - $1250, just 25% of the pension, about $3,000. We all have our percieved problems..
