Removing corn silk
A great hint for removing the silk from an ear of corn before cooking:
Dampen a paper towel, and wipe off silk.
Works a treat.

I eat a lot of corn and have always picked the silks off as best I could. I tried this and it really works. What a timesaver. Thanks.
Sounds too good to be true but will buy some corn tomorrow and try it and gloat "it dosn't work"? nah. :)
