Re the last part citing results. It took me a while to work out what 'group 1', 'group 2' etc meant. I could only work it out because so few people have voted yet and I knew how I had voted. Perhaps it would be more clear to say '1 star' instead of 'group one' etc up to '5 stars' for 'group 5'.

There was a breath of fresh air in the press this morning. Michelle Rowland, Federal Member for Greenway, in the western suburbs of Sydney has been busy ensuring that her multicultural constituents have been kept up-to-date with COVID. Her result is that a part of her electorate has the highest vaccination rates in Sydney. While other Labor MP's are whinging about all of the negatives and trying to blame Morrison for all of them, Michelle has quietly stayed away from politics and has done what all MP's should be doing; look after the electorate and work for the constituents.

Agree

Well said Sue. It is all too easy for those south and south-western Sydney Mayors and MPs to play the race and wealth cards instead of putting in the effort like Ms Rowland.

Let's not forget the communities there also want to overcome this awful disease as much if not more than everyone else and they are showing the rest of the country how it's done with their vaccination rates. Go and check out Fairfield, they have made extraordinary progress.

Mark McGowan has acted most responsibly. I would not object if he is one day PM.

Hahahahahahaha! Surely you jest Sophie.

Mr McGowan has done nothing for the people of WA except maintain the separation of families. The WA health service was in an appalling state well before COVID struck and that is the basis of his ridiculous position is based.

He is crowing over the budget surplus whilst refusing to acknowledge that is purely on the basis of the sky-high iron ore prices (now less than half what they were a few months ago) and the inordinate amount of GST he demands from the Eastern States. Take those quantifiers away and he is running a serious deficit which is exactly why his health system is so bad.

As a little boy in a glass house, he should not be throwing stones at anyone.

Well KSS, maybe you can run things better. He is doing a great job. Clearly you are not West Australian.

Sophie, tell me about all the venues in Fremantle and how they are going, all the shops that have closed down in King Street, all the jobs lost because he won't allow interstate tourism and the fact that no one can get elective surgery because the health system is so broken even with no COVID cases. He doesn't mention any of this in his peacocking about his budget surplus. WA is likely to remain locked down until April 2022 at the earliest. Wait until Bali opens up and no one from WA can leave and see how much he is loved then.

Yes he is doing a great job of navel gazing!

All opinions count my dear KSS, even those that cannot see the wood for the trees.

Soon we'll be having vaccine passports in WA...another feather in Mark's cap, and I applaud it.

Congratulations to Mark McGowen in following the lead of South Australia and Northern Territory in allowing the aged choice of vaccine like other  categories.

I have many relatives and business clients in WA. They all love Mark McGowan, LNP and Labor voters alike, because he has protected them.

Unlike in NSW (spurred on by Morrison), where we've had the bejesus scared out of us by Covid, then horsewhipped into AZ vax clinics, only to be told we're opening up now - ready or not! Everything's fine, except for those who succumbed to AZ who are now locked out until they can get their second AZ jab. Morrison even told us we should be grateful to get whatever shitty jab we can get! He and both NSW Premiers have treated NSW people terribly. Just think about the lack of proper quarantine and Aged Care, both Federal responsibilities. And in NSW, the Ruby Princess and not locking down when Delta was rampant in the Eastern suburbs. Gladys had the hide to say that Delta caught them by surprise, though I understand she had no choice - it was Morrison's idea but she had to take the blame for it. And then they punished the west and SW suburbs for spreading it (because these are the workers who actually keep Sydney running), with even stricter lockdowns, curfews, helicopters and the army policing them. Shocking treatment!

This one is the worst

YLC does not need to run a poll, just read the comments sections on any high rotation political article.  The answers are already there.

Just another way of generating clicks for the site.

Then don't follow this site if you don't like it! What's wrong with you?

Would not put any politician in a "Gold Standard" class. They have all been so disrespectful to the voters. None have shown any compassion at all.
Will be glad to see WA leave the Federation as they are the most un Australian state of the lot!

I am so pleased to be living in Western Australia with Mark McGowan as Premier.  How utterly fortunate we are!

Amen to that...

I think that history will show that Mr Morrison has possibly been the best Prime Minister of Australia in the last 50 years. All of the selfish folk who only think of themselves should remember that since he took over we have suffered Covid, bush fires, drought and floods, all of which have never before seen in such a short period and of such ferocity. I can't think of anyone else who could have handled all of this as well as he has.
As for the popularity list I can't imagine how someone who whinges and whines every time he opens his mouth could possibly be in the top 30 never mind the top 10.
