Portion Sizes

Saw that one Labor's wife was not happy with the $7.50, portion size she was given in the local greasy spoon cafe. Was brought up in Parliament! You want to look at portion sizes? Just come to my house - nothing ever anything that wouldn't cover a "bread", or " side" plate. And that's the main meal of the day - not just a snack.

A rather famous quote from Marie Antoinette springs to mind.........

"..........LET THEM EAT CAKE"

One could say, the smaller the better - when you see the size of some people these days. I have never eaten a large serving of anything. Small meals are healthy, assuming of course that the content of the plate is also healthy and not full of fat. My usual complaint when eating out is that most restaurants give you way too much. I normally order entre-size or share with my sister.

Of course, the , "lady" in question was of the "larger" : size, even if TV does add 10K!.

Regardless of portion sizes, what are the government doing discussing one member's grievance on a personal matter, no wonder this country is going downhill fast. It's ironical that they can ignore the plight of many pensioners, who can't afford to eat out and yet waste question time on such trivialities. It just goes to show how out of touch they are with the mood of the people.

Of course they are out of touch - once they get into the "exalted position" of being an MP, they lose touch with reality! Do you think you wouldn"t?

Yes, it did amaze me that this was actually brought up during time that is being paid for by the public purse....pretty rude I would say.
