It doesn't matter what you do for a

living along the way

you would have profited from what the unions have achieved against so much

opposition.

Yes although many times the unions have over steped the mark we would all have been a LOT worse off without them

Reading between the lines of this article, Abbott is reluctant to give old age pensioners any kind of rise. Now I'm not a self funded retiree, I wish I was, but I have friends who are and in my opinion, they worked hard in business to get it and deserve every cent. However, my future wellbeing depends on a rise in pension as the years go on. What I want to know is - is it set in concrete that pensions automatically go up with the CPI or can Tony or Julia suddenly suddenly come in and put the axe through it.

I am not self funded either Toot and I hope that our pensions are going to follow the rises too or we will be in big trouble--

toot2000.. Am not aware of any move either will make on future pension rises,

but am sure have read that the new government in England is

considering cutting back the pension over there.

The answer to your question is that if either finds it a necessity

to reduce your pension, they will. seth.

Maybe there is some clever person who can answer the question, I hope so. Of course with an authoritative link.
