Poor old blighters!

Flowers and the alphabet?
Is this what this forum has resorted to?
Next game will be names of toys or what clothing
have you got on, maybe colours going through
the alphabet?
Lets hope our families are not watching or they may
believe it is time we all went into care as we look like
we are all ready for Kindergarten Playtime. Flowers and the alphabet?

Is this what this forum has become? Next game, toy names?
I suppose if Innes is not allowed to talk Politics then nobody can
but there have to be other good topics? Get our grey matter working
and not playing kids games please. Then again I suppose people
will say "Yaretzi don't play kidsgames if you do not want to"
true enough I don't and I won't.

RETARDED GRANDPARENTS

(This was actually reported by a teacher)

After Christmas, a teacher asked her young pupils how they spent their

Holiday away from school.

One child wrote the following:

We always used to spend the holidays with Grandma and Grandpa.

They used to live in a big brick house but Grandpa got retarded and they

Moved to Arizona .

Now they live in a tin box and have rocks painted green to look like grass.

They ride around on their bicycles and wear name tags because they don't

Know who they are anymore.

They go to a building called a wreck centre, but they must have got it fixed

Because it is all okay now, they do exercises there, but they don't do them

Very well.

There is a swimming pool too, but they all jump up and down in it with hats

On.

At their gate, there is a doll house with a little old man sitting in it.. He

Watches all day so nobody can escape.

Sometimes they sneak out, and go cruising in their golf carts.

Nobody there cooks, they just eat out.

And, they eat the same thing every night --- early birds.

Some of the people can't get out past the man in the doll house.

The ones who do get out, bring food back to the wrecked centre for pot luck.

My Grandma says that Grandpa worked all his life to earn his retardment and

Says I should work hard so I can be retarded someday too..

When I earn my retardment, I want to be the man in the doll house.

Then I will let people out, so they can visit their grandchildren.

.... PRICELESS

Forward to all your "retarded grandparent" friends

We have a range of personalities, ideas and interests on the forum and discuss most subjects from politics down to "kids games" Some are serious and important, while others are whimsical and lighthearted.. All threads are not for all people and we are all free to join in those that interest us and ignore those that dont. If I want to "exercise my grey matter", I will enroll in a course or visit the local library.

I cant help feeling a little resentful toward people who presume to tell me what I should find interesting/entertaining/educational or just plain fun.

...

I take it then that you do not like this little story ...........or am I wrong ...........

Interesting writing Clay.

Might make some elderly over 60 year old people

want to "blow their brains out" before retardation sets in.

It trully is one of the sadest things I have ever read but sure your

right to post it.

I liked it Clay - gives me something to look forward to.

 I loved it too Clay, as a Great grandma I dont mind a bit if my Grandies think of me that way, at the very least it means that they ARE thinking of me.

Sorry Yaretzi, there are plenty of topics on here to suit you if you want ,if not, start your own.

Let us all have our own likes & dislikes.

I just happen to have seen a true picture a few nights ago where an older Doctor

was in a wheelchair and dribbling while his wife was trying to get him ready

to be wheeled down the isle with his daughter at her wedding. The family were

all trying not to look at him while his wife cleaned him up.

The wife was also a Doctor and found out she also was suffering from

early dementia and ended up yes :( blowing her brains out.

Maybe this is why I just did not see the joke. I was just stating a thought

which is my right I am sure.

Thank you Tweety for telling me what I can do.

I know most Grandparents are a bit of a joke way behind most things

to their children and grandchildren. That is why it is good to have

a forum where old people can chat amongst ourselves.

Hey Yaretzi, who died and made you boss of what we should and shouldn't post?

I do read your jokes Clay and have many a laugh. Please do keep

up the good work. You must have a great memory to remember so many

and good ones most of the time at that

Has to be one now and again someone is not putting up there with

ones they love that is called democracy

I think the story should have been called 'Perception'

Without offending anyone, I think it was how young folk perceive nursing home and hostel dwellers.

You say to Clay that his joke is one of the saddest things you've ever read and then realizing your mistake start being nice to him, keep going Yartzi, you are digging your own grave. You are a toxic old lady with no sense of humour and an inflated ego, get over yourself.

Welcome to the forum Tanwin. Please keep posting.

Many great people here.
